I‘m really enjoying Love in the Moonlight! It’s very dramatic but not too realistic as to be upsetting

Right! I'm also surprised by how much I'm liking this series so far. About Pin, I feel like she's going to be really hurt because it's clear she really love Saenkaew a lot.  On top of that, losing him to Sasin, who's like a brother to her will probably feel like a deep betrayal. But from her character, I think she'll choose to forgive and support them.

I feel so bad for Saenkaew. Having to shoulder all these problems alone for the sake of his family, trying to find a middle ground while still caring to not hurt others in the process.. That must be really hard.

We are in for a lot of heartbreaks and I'm here for it.

, there are things I like about it, and Nishime Shun plays the role of Ai very well

I wrote a while ago that there was something about this one that felt a little off. I’m not sure why, but I find Nishime and Peat really similar, and in the first episodes, Nishime seemed to be mimicking Peat’s signature facial expressions. But later on, he started to break away from Rak, and episode 9 was definitely my ah-ah moment. That said, I have to admit I’m still enjoying the Thai version more so far.

Looks interesting, I might check it out.

I saw that the Taiwanese movie The Time of Huannan  is on Gaga. Has anyone watched it?

Love in the moonlight:

How do they end an episode with a cliffhanger like that?! But first, I have to talk about that kiss on the hand. Sasin is an absolute master of seduction. Seriously, the post-credits scenes have me so anxious, and honestly, I’m not sure how Saenkaew and Sasin’s relationship is supposed to work out. It kind of reminds me of Love to Kill. Saenkaew is burdened by a life with no real choices, where duty always came before love, plus the weight of his mother’s death. And Sasin made a promise to Pin’s mother that he’s never going to be able to keep. How could a relationship like that possibly work? Good thing we get two episodes a week!

Secret Lover:

Lin Pei Yu’s involvement in a project is a hallmark of quality, as she is known for creating authentic, engaging Taiwanese BL stories. So, whenever I see her name attached to a project, whether as the original creator or screenwriter, I already know I’m going to love it. Pretty much all my favorite Taiwanese BLs have her signature brilliance. Her work is consistent, thoughtful, and she has this amazing ability to bring stories and characters to life in such a real, authentic way. Her stories aren’t just fun. They’re believable and genuinely engaging.

Secret Lover lived up to her reputation as a charming, emotionally layered friends-to-lovers series. I’m totally in love with this series. Guno and Chance share strong chemistry with memorable romantic scenes. Unlike typical BL series, the female characters were well-developed and charismatic, especially You Mei. She won me over with her quirky vibe.

But the  heart of the show, however, lies in Jun Xi’s parents. When Jun Xi’s dad proudly said, “They’re my sons,” I had a big smile on my face. They really embodied the kind of acceptance and love the world needs. This series is a must-watch and definitely worth revisiting.

No but it looks really interesting

also I agree with everything you said about love in the moonlight. we’re in for some tears.

@Ju Moon

yes, that kiss on the hand was something else. Pearl is really killing it in this role.

 Sophie:

RE: Love in the Moonlight  They live in completely difference areas, so I don't even think Pin actually knows Saenkaew well enough to love him. At most, they may have met a few times as elites at parties and she developed a crush. But, yes, no matter what, she will be crushed by the betrayal coming from Sasin and Saenkaew, even though she has seen some signs that she's denying. She's not blind, and she has seen how those two look at each other.

Agree with everything you wrote about "Secret Lover". In addition to the good screenplay, the casting, acting and execution were all-around good. Last years' "See Your Love", also written by Lin Pei Yu, likewise won me over on all counts.

Yes, I also really liked them, and I liked the way our initial perception of You Mei was proved totally wrong as her character was developed. Combination of good writing, good casting and good acting.

Lin Pei Yu

She created some of the best of the HIStory series too!

Both "Never Date a Capricorn" and "Love Reset" were really good first eps and I look forward to seeing more.  On YT and no MDL page.

For absolutely no reason at all but just because, Ohm is looking so damn delicious lately. Well... he is always delicious, but even more so lately. I love the hairstyle he's gone with also.

So I want to thank the people who wished me to get better last week. Well I did but now I am sick again and I think this time I have the flu or something. So I am going to take this time that I am sick again to binge watch a lot of shows. So see yall soon but now I am going to read the last few pages to see what I have missed.

Hmm. Just watched the first two episodes of "Story of Bi Hyeong: Enchanted Master of the Goblin", newly posted on Gaga. So far, entertaining but confusing, as I don't yet understand how some of the pieces and characters fit in, especially everything between 3:28 and 5:43 of ep. 1 (I even re-watched this part three times in a vain attempt to mentally sort it out) as well as the end of ep. 2. Presumably it'll become more clear as the series progresses. I'm not yet sure what to think of this series, but I'm in for the ride.

ETA: Aha! The following Wikipedia entry helps to make some sense of the two books that are shown at the end of the doctor's office scene ("Heungbu and Nolbu 2: The Thrill and the Miser") and the transition to the girl (Samshin) sitting on the rooftop ("Heungbu and Nolbu 1: Delicious Brothers"), presumably folklore that all Korean viewers already know: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heungbu_and_Nolbu

Although I don't yet know of any international release, it seems that the newly started JBL “Oishii Rikon Todokemasu” (“Delivering Delicious Divorces”) will be fansubbed by LonelySubber.

I finished EP 1 and everything between 0:01 and 21:54 confused the heck out of me. The goblin costume was cute. And the cast. 😍
