Hi everyone! *waves* - new to BL (only discovered early this year) but making up for it enthusiastically! :)
Usually a lurker but I feel compelled to ask this - sorry if this is highly unpopular opinion - but I’m just not getting the same feels for MaxTul?! I watched manner of death first then together with me but didn’t even make it to TWM 2. Is there a recommended order to watching their shows? Like start with Bad Romance? They are so popular that I’m feeling a bit strange that they didn’t give me the same butterflies as MewGulf or MileApo / ZeNunew despite them being new pairs.

I don’t get it myself actually. They are both adorable and the shows (especially Manner of death) were both great and I liked the storyline much better than CP and even TT so maybe just going to chalk it up to personal preference.

Don’t know how to reply to some of the other responses because says can’t quote long posts but thank you @amethyst_aquarious for your thoughtful response! You’re really onto something because I totally went down the YT rabbit hole on the other pairs and watched behind the scenes and interviews and fan events.
Also, really good point about OffGun because watched two of their shows so far and similarly feels. They are such powerful actors (Not Me was awesome) but I also didn’t watch a lot of their off camera interactions yet.
Overall I am really loving this genre and realizing there’s so much more outside of the overused tropes. Some of my absolute obsessions didn’t have a lot of steamy NC moments (Cherry Magic, Semantic Error, etc) so while that was one of the initial attractions to the genre it quickly branches out for me.
I’m any case, I’ll look forward to your discussions here to get more new release recommendations!
Happy to help! And I totally relate to your obsessions, Semantic Error and Takara-kun to Amagi-kun (ongoing) are my absolute fav and they have no nc scenes haha. Some bl just hit different.

OffGun are one of what I call my comfort couples. Others are OhmNanon, definitely MaxTul, and ZeeNew. Anytime I'm in need of happy friendship vibes I go in search of them. Gun in particular is great for when I need a mood boost, lol. He's hysterical on variety shows like School Rangers or OffGun Fun Night.
Takara-kun to Amagi-kun, Semantic Error, Bad Buddy, and About Youth are some of my more recent go-to shows when I'm in the mood to break my face from smiling a lot.
I totally have those go-to shows now to rewatch for the serotonin boost! Have you watched 30 Sai made dotei dato? The overly dramatic introverts Adachi and Tsuge are so so adorable and close to my heart. Always makes me smile :)
I’ll check out School Rangers and Fun night - they sound great.
Amethyst also mentioned Amagi-kun as well - i’m going to watch once it’s completely aired. So bad at waiting patiently each week - Binge watching and being sleep deprived are my favourite things to do these days *_*

I have to check myself into the recovery ward after watching HIStory3: MoDC for the second time. I'm a mess but it was so worth it and I will undoubtedly put myself through it multiple times in the future. I am inspired by them so completely and feel very fortunate to have something that brilliant to aspire to...for me that series was love in motion. Not sure how a human heart can feel broken and blessed at the same time but mine sure does at this moment!
Next show will need to have the soft touch so I can properly recover though!
Watched this three times so far and I always bawl my eyes out. Honestly has been one of the shows that left the strongest impression so far. Everything from the story to acting is just stunning. I would risk it all for a love like theirs!
My go to after watching is always a fun and fluffy show to balance me out. Watched Cherry magic after first view of MODC, Touch your heart (non BL) and Old Fashioned cupcake after 2nd and 3rd. Somehow OFC was a really nice balancer in case you want to try it :)

Please feel free to make reco for more fluffy fuzzy feel shows for me because I’ll definitely watch MODC again. One of those pains that hurt so good!
