BL Drama Lovers Club

I actually shed a few tears for khemjira episode 9 , it is known that I have only seen a handful of bl's as I'm kinda new to the genre so I'm sure their will be others that can get just as emotional. it's quite tough however to get me to cry even if I'm invested in the story with feelings of emotion while watching , when I've felt the feels I've mostly been able to shake it off. 8 & 9 damn , it all got hella deep with one thing happening after another. this show has definitely earned this reaction out of me with the great actors , characters & story it has. 11 & 12 left , I don't want it to end ^^

I finished The journey to killing you. Well, this wasn’t for me. I’ll just keep it at that.

I enjoyed the first episode of Goddess bless you from death.The acting is good and the story looks really interesting. I enjoy this type of drama (horror) a lot. I love Pooh in this role, I think it suits him. He looks adorable. I looked up his age and he’s only 22! He’s playing an older character (25). It's not much of a difference in this case, but it made me think that I haven’t seen many actors play older characters. It’s usually the other way around.

I’ve only watched the 1st ep of cursed love and it was surprisingly good. I love seeing fresh faces and I’m really enjoying their acting and performances so far. The plot is also quite interesting.

Does anyone else have fav new titles they want to watch the most? Or a watch plan for this month?

I had to look at your Waiting to Air list because the only ones I knew of were interminable and Me and Thee.  For Peach Trap since it looks similar to Secret Relationship, I think I might wait and binge watch it. 

The Cursed  Love ep5

i‘m still really enjoying this show. Each episode we continue to learn more about their past lives and supernatural powers. It’s clear to me now that the professor is definitely the bad guy who is trying to reclaim the earth-bender powers but also bring back Tambralinga for himself to rule. I like that the other three benders are working together against him. Now at least we know why Thara’s  heart literally hurts whenever Khunkhao and Siwat are together! 
i was surprised to learn that the aunt and some of the others know about the bender powers. At least if they’re all in on it they can help each other.

this is just a pet peeve, but why did that one possessed semi-dead guy have to look and act like a zombie?! I hate zombies! And I hate when shows try to include them by making other creatures look and act like zombies. Rant over.

im eagerly awaiting the next episode. And, yes, Ongsa’s voice and the theme song are beautiful!

Therapy Game ep2

i was much more invested after this week’s episode. I like that Shizuma is not freaking out because he likes a guy. I also like that he stood up to his homophobic friends. In general the episode was interesting and sexy and left me wanting more. I was also trying to think if I’d seen any other JBLs with trans characters. Thai BLs often include them but I can’t think of any others.

my general feeling about the JBLs out right now is that they are all killing it but it’s torturing me to wait a whole week between episodes! I haven’t started Chosen Home yet, but Pinks Triangle, Therapy Game, School Trip, and Akasaka s2 are all so good! I want more!!!!

the Love Never Sets ep4

i know this show is getting mixed reviews but I’m really enjoying it. It isn’t a “happy” show but rather a show about missed chances/lost love, and dealing with and healing from trauma. I think Tae and Ja are doing great showing subtle emotions, repressed feelings, and hidden pain. I thought the scene where they almost kissed was wonderful and moving and so hot! It reminded me of I Told Sunset About You when they are first touching each other and are so taken with the intense emotions that simple physical  contact can evoke between two people attracted to each other. In the love never sets, I love how Saint is so respectful of Ice even when the characters they are playing aren’t supposed to be like that. The show is clearly reminding us of older BLs and their problems with consent, while showing us the importance of consent for someone who has experienced sexual trauma.

please, Yes ep4

this show is sweet but the short episodes make it feel a bit incomplete. Also I always worry that Sukfilm will end without wrapping everything up in order to get us to pay for subscriptions and/or want second seasons. But I think this is one of their better shows.

bound contract ep4 (finale)

this show was a total disappointment. It offered nothing except a few good kisses. I recommend skipping.

hot brother next door ep8

this show has been very engaging. I like the characters and the story. I was getting impatient for the couple to get together but they finally did. Still, I worry about more secrets coming out—like who was actually behind the sabotage of the bar—and the new debt the brother has taken on coming back to ruin him somehow. I’m not sure how they can wrap it all up in two more episodes but im hopeful it will have a decent ending.

i liked ep 1 a lot but episode two totally confused me. I guess this will be a different story each episode 

my Secret of seer ep3

this show is awful! The acting is stiff, the scary parts are over-the-top, and the sexual tension doesn’t quite work. Plus weird ghosts hanging around. So far it is unclear where this is headed besides the bedroom. The story setup is way too complex for what they’re delivering. I’ll still keep watching because maybe it will get better. Plus I don’t really drop things. But I recommend a hard pass!

also I’m so annoyed MDL doesn’t have any of these short-form YouTube shows listed. Or the Vietnamese ones. Grrr.😠 

HIStory3: Make Our Days Count is so good! I think I will finish today or tomorrow because I just can’t stop watching!

I just completed Love in Translation. I'm about to start The Wicked Game and I wanted to watch DaouOffroad acting in an older bl before. I gotta say I didn't like the plot. It was boring for me and I struggled to watch the first 4 episodes but it got better in the middle. Nevertheless, DaouOffroad had amazing chemistry and they're not holding back with kisses. Even though this wasn't the best bl, it did its job and got me wanting to see more of DaouOffroad! I hope for a better plot tho 🤞

Watching and liking it!  I'm fascinated at the change in Park as Apo compared to his role in Monster Next Door. He's absolutely adorable and such a cutie pie!

It's on my PTW list.  I don't know which is true, but I've heard this isn't a BL and I've heard it is.  If anyone is watching it can u confirm one way or another?
