So the red and blue pill is a reference to the 1999 Film the Matrix, in which taking one pill leads to knowledge and challenges and  taking the other one stays ignorant and happy. Someone made a chart with different BLs for the red vs blue pill as a joke. Like the red pill BLs have more difficult themes or truths. The chart is in RX’s post above but maybe you didn’t see it. It’s not loading on my screen.

i did not see the chart. will ask RX abt it, thanks!

It takes time but I've been checking for a while now and still nothing yet. I would submit the title but almost every time I do that someone else already has!

and it's so frustrating, after all the efforts you did lol. happens to me too hehehe

@Art Girl

im surprised you are watching until we drown. I thought you might find it upsetting. It’s definitely not boring, though. I’m hoping no membership will mean delayed access rather than no access, because I want to see where this goes. I’m sure I watched other shows on that channel and was able to see all the episodes. Yes, I checked and Lost in Kyoto is the same channel.

oh, i remember that quote from Sleep Around, Still Mine. “I want to be where your hands touch and your eyes fall.” Yes, definitely heart-fluttering! Beautiful and sexy too.

im also glad to see someone else spamming the group so im not the only one! Plus its more fun because there’s stuff to read all day long!

@RX

im sorry you’re having a rough day. Some days are like that. I struggle to take care of myself when my mood is lower, so you are not alone in that. Yes, winter can also make things harder too. I don’t like to offer mental health advice because different things work for different people, but I’m glad you find the group comforting. I like that everyone here is so supportive too.

i will say that BLs are a great escape and comfort for me, as is being able to talk about them here. I hope you find some time for watching something that comforts you.

Maybe I'm missing smth about the story? I might not pick up on some things like u prob do, lol. I am concerned why the title uses the word "drown" AND the location is next to the sea...so there's that.

I'm sooo excited I'm toggling between this site and YT cuz my ult group Stray Kids is dropping a new mini album in just a few minutes. That's why I DM'd blsymphony! We're both crazy for SKZ!

My friend is going to an event at the local Barnes and Nobles for that Skz album, so I’ll be hearing all about it! Enjoy your new music! I’ve been loving all the promotional photos.

I don’t think Until We Drown is a literal reference to drowning. I think it’s about being in an emotional situation that’s overwhelming and probably toxic (or just taboo because… brothers) but they can’t help “falling” into it until it takes over and ruins everything, like drowning. This is not based on any information I have about the show other than the brothers theme. I am just speculating from the title.

the channel, the secret of us, is a Chinese company based in Japan. Their other shows feature water/beaches too, which makes sense since Japan is an island.

Oh I see! Yes, that makes sense. I generally am not bothered by brother themes cuz almost every time the brother roles aren't actually blood brothers and often didn't grown up together. There's one drama when they have spent time growing up together, Unknown, and the older bro has an almost parent-like role which gave me a few awkward feelings about. It was still a great drama though!

For real that's great! I live near a B&N too but haven't heard anything going on. Maybe I better check first thing in the morning! 😆

So glad to hear from you again. We've missed you!

Danke, ich habe dich auch sehr vermisst. Ich lese deine Gedanken immer sehr gerne. (I should probably ask if you prefer 'du' or 'Sie')

Punks Triangle ep 7

This drama's got one major flaw: it's too short. I rarely say this, but I need season 2 🥺

 dora:
nice to see you back

It's good to be back, even if just for a little while 😄 Especially to read your insightful thoughts, like recently that small discussion on LGBTQIA+ and BLs and so on. I always learn something interesting from you and Mr P

Yes, and one comes back after a month catching up with this forum feels like reading a novella 😂

 RXinw:
Are you taking the RED or BLUE pill?

Although I have no idea which of these eight BLs are supposed to be red pill (difficult reality) and which  blue pill (blissful ignorance, so maybe this means fluffy comfort watches?), the graphic  (re-posted below) was a very nice reminder of eight of the best BLs of 2025, a year in which we've had a very good harvest. (I confess that I've not yet watched "Reset", but I definitely will. I know it's really really good.)

One of the nice things as the year draws to a close is looking back upon the past 12 months and refreshing our memories of what we especially enjoyed. As the start of the year, I absolutely adored "ThamePo" and was so totally invested each week, but that now seems like so long ago. This refresh of my memory makes me want to do a re-watch!

Ależ oczywiście, możesz do mnie mówić na "ty". :-)

 dora:
oh how I love Jeff! He is an amazing singer and songwriter!

I associate Jeff Satur first and foremost with "Ingredients". I really loved that series, even though it was just little morsels of delightful fluff.

Lol. Glad you at least find it interesting. 😊

Thanks so much for reposting! I missed this when it was posted previously lol

This part of RXinw's post (two pages back) caught my attention, as Headliner is part of Tencent/WeTV. About half of these are reasonably well known from lead roles in BLs such as "Caged Again" and "Knock Knock Boys".  Might this mean that WeTV is pulling back from BLs?
