Me too

 Indie Art Girl:

Really?! I'm so watching it!

Depending on the severity of weather in my area, I may not have much or any power for the next few days. I'm told 30-50 mph winds are coming with gusts up to 80 mph. Fire conditions are critical so the power company may have to shut the power off so we don't have a fire like the one in California last year.

If I don't show up tomorrow that's why.  I'll be under cover at home conserving my laptop battery so no drama watching for me! Good thing I have real books, haha. And a flashlight!

Good luck! Read something good!

oh that sounds kinda scary. at least you know it's coming so you can be prepared! good luck, stay safe, and have fun reading!!!

BL Challenge Day 17: Biggest surprise hit of the year that you loved

"Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island" was a low-budget indie masterpiece, but was it a "hit" (in the usual commercial sense)? In any case, it was definitely a "surprise": It just came out of nowhere, and I don't think any of us had even heard of it. I certainly hadn't.

So glad that it's now on Gaga - and finally with normal, readable subtitles.

Day 16: Day 16: A favourite non-BL Asian drama from 2025

Doom at Your Service - Tried watching it at least! never made it past episode 9, not cause it wasn't good, but it's sooooo long. Might still go back to it eventually

 Indie Art Girl:

I love love love Bo Gum, but so many say they cried so much watching this drama that I'm afraid to start it.  If I knew the ending was a good/positive one I could prob go ahead.

i think it's abt life's lessons and probably the ending is a good one. this has been on my to watch list but i just haven't gotten around to watch it.

Day 15: Biggest case for second lead syndrome in a 2025 drama

There haven't been any tough second lead syndromes in 2025 dramas I've watched. Peach Trap kinda bc I felt bad for the team leader and he could have been a good match with Doha. Still I wanted Doha to end up with the best friend and team leader to find someone else.

Burnout Syndrome has a major second lead syndrome possibility for most people but I'm not one of them. I'm too intrigued by Jira and Ko to even consider Pheem as a choice. Yess I'm colorblind lol xD Pheem is great tho and I wish he finds happiness with someone else. However, we're only in episode 3 so anything can still happen and change

Day 16 - Favorite non-BL Asian drama  from 2025

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

I usually prefer not to watch medical dramas but I'm glad I watched this. It was so amazing! Perfect combination of action and comedy. Although I recommend not taking this seriously if you have some knowledge on the topic 😆

Love in the Clouds

Main leads have great chemistry and the plot is never dull. It keeps you in your tippy toes and continues to excite you till the end. All characters and ships were interesting. Visuals are also stunning

Spirit Fingers

I started this spontaneously not knowing even what the plot is, but I got hooked from the first episode. I was obsessed with the main leads height difference 🤭 It's a light-hearted and sweet drama

Day 17: Biggest surprise hit of this year that you loved

For me there weren't any major big surprises. I had high hopes for all the dramas I watched and they either succeeded or failed. Nevertheless, School Trip has been better than I expected! I hope the ending is satisfying as well 🤞

 Benizakura:

Yup, that's exactly why I didn't pick "Peach Trap" for that question.

Sounds frightening! Stay safe and enjoy the reading 🙏

 Benizakura:

Ooh I should definitely watch this if it has this effect! I have no clue what to do with my life 😅

One of my absolute fav kdramas 🫶 Glad you enjoyed it :)

I would say it taught me to cherish more my family and the people around me.

He is such an amazing actor and such a good person he was perfect for this role i really think it's a part of him. I agree like the majority of people I cried a lot but it was worth it.

It has happy and sad moments during all the drama but the ending is positive

DECEMBER BL CHALLENGE 2025

Revenged Love surprised me. It surprises me even now, with how much I love it. <3

Also, pleasantly surprised by Kill to Love.

DECEMBER BL CHALLENGE 2025
Day 17: Biggest surprise hit of this year that you loved.

I’d pick both Revenged Love and Khemjira

-Revenged Love was a pleasant surprise.especially since we didn't have a cbl in a longtime. I remember watching it and hoping everything would go smoothly , which made the experience more intense.

-As for Khemjira, it simply became my favorite bl. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, but I was impressed by both the story and the overall quality.
