I want to watch burnout syndrome but I feel like it's too much for me based on some of clips Ive seen

i'm 5 eps in and it's definitely messy and a little toxic so it's not to everyone's taste. but i've been really enjoying it so far

 UrYaoiholic:

Yk what I say, if people miss me you just gotta listen to "Bad Shawty" by proxie(most people remember me by that song) but yess, Im hoping to be more active and pleaseee continue watching khemjira.

Haha, cutie group of guys. Their hip action though.  👀  Song is cool too, lol!

Only 4 Khemjira eps to go! I can do it! 💪

This is me too! Preeeeetty sure this drama won't work for me. 😭😧🫢

OffGun were my first fav BL couple. along with ZeeNuNew.  And so far, impo*, I haven't watched a good drama from either couple since Not Me & Cutie Pie. I have hopes for Gunshot! No idea what to expect with Hug E-Lhee the Musical.

*in my picky opinion. Don't shoot me!!

I told sunset about you

So about 2 days ago when I was watching episode 3 I've said that it was slow but i liked it. After I've finished it my opinion stayed the same but I liked the last 2 episodes better I was more into it. Since it's tagged as a slow burn romance it's normal for me to find it a bit slow as I'm not used to that pace. There were a lot of scenes I really liked in the last episode. I was going to rate it a 8 but  it changed to a 8.5 thanks to the final episode.

At times I couldn't help but feel bad for most of the characters and understanding their point of view. It felt like not everyone could be happy. Someone had to get hurt and sadly that's often the case in real life. It felt realistic for a lot of things.

I'm going to wait a few days before watching the short film and  about a week to watch the sequel. I don't want to rush for this one.

It was good and I recommend it.

guys finallly exams week is over, I have time to watch dare you to death

A well‑deserved break! Trying to get through the rest of my non‑BL series and I’m on a little mission, doing some DIY at home. It’s actually been pretty fun.

Burnout Syndrome: What I really love about this series is the moral ambiguity. There’s no perfect hero here. Everyone has flaws and makes questionable choices. I have to admit, though, I’m finding myself drawn more and more to Koh and Pheem, and less to Jira. Both of them are far from perfect, but at least they’re not pretending to be someone they’re not.

Koh is cold and solitary, almost completely shut off from the world and from human connection. But ever since he met Jira, those walls have started to crack just a little, and he’s slowly becoming less distant, more human.

Pheem, on the other hand, is insecure. He feels stuck in a friendship that keeps him tied to a job that no longer fulfills him, and now he’s trapped in a feeling (love? a need to protect?  🤔  ) that isn’t being returned in any way. It’s obvious, whether through his paintings, his brushstrokes, or his behavior, that Jira is clearly interested in Koh. But his passivity (or is it manipulation? 🤔  ) only fuels the conflict. Honestly, I’m especially frustrated with the way he’s treating Pheem.

So far, the writing has been smart and thought‑provoking with a slightly melancholic vibe. I imagine Koh and Jira will end up together in the end, but I have no idea how that’s going to play out. I just hope the series manages to keep the same emotional intensity all the way through. And I have to say, Mawin is the best friend Pheem could possibly have.

Dare you to death I’m still not sure how I feel about this show. The premise is interesting, but I think the focus is off. I haven’t read the novel it’s based on, so I can’t really judge how faithful the adaptation is. But for me, the story should be centered on solving the crime, not the romance between Jade and Kamin, which sometimes feels a bit forced and out of place. As for the crimes, I don’t think Puifai is actually dead. I suspect she’s being helped by the forensic doctor, Thaenkhun. We’ll see. The whole cast is doing a great job, and Dunk looks insanely good in a suit. 🫣

since i'm thinking of recommendations, i was wondering if anyone has good bl's (using this term broadly) they've watched with a more indie vibe? i really like a lot of indie shows/movies and offbeat romances. i think the only example of something in this category (in terms of bl's) that i've seen so far has been Gelboys.

regardless of style i really like to see unconvential relationships so i'll take recs that fit just that too if anyone has any suggestions :)

When I think of Indie, what comes to mind is Strongberry (KBLs) https://www.youtube.com/@StrongberryKr. They have some short dramas and mini films. Quality varies quite a bit. Some of the ones I've seen and liked:

First episode posted, watching it now.

I liked the characters/actors in S1 but the story not so much, so I'm hoping the story in S2 will be better.

In addition to "Cosmetic Playlover S2" (starting today on Gaga) and "His Man S4" (starting Jan 23 on iQiyi), we also have three other new starts over the next days, which is good timing for me as some other series I'm watching reach completion:

Love In Protocol” (KBL) starting Jan 17 on Youtube
Peach Lover” (Copy A) starting Jan 20 on iQiyi
Cat for Cash” (First/Khaotung + talking animals*) starting Jan 20 on Youtube

* because I know how much Art Girl loves these!

Season 2 was really good I hope season 4 will be as good. I will probably watch The boyfriend s2 before. I want to root for one couple or different couples from one show at a time.

“Love In Protocol”

This is the only one of the three you listed I'm most interested in. And of course His Man!

Buuuut, I will see what other's say about Cat for Cash before I decide whether to write it off or not, lol.

And I can already tell Peach Lover is prob beyond my limit. 😆

I like the Cosmetic Playlover couple too, so hoping S2 is better as well.

I'm really excited about Duang with You (Jan 31), not til a couple of weeks though.

Yeah, me too. I can't watch two reality shows at one time.  😵‍💫

It takes at least 2 episodes for me to understand which face is going with which name. So I don't want to make it harder for me to learn about like 16 names and faces and who is interested in who. My brain will fry. 😅
