 10GoodMemories:
if you can recommend some fluffy, comfort watch, heartwarming BLs for me

Fluffy, low-angst recs from me:

  • Ai Long Nhai  Cute and fluffy with married couple Porsch Apiwat Apiwatsayree and Arm Sappanyoo Panatkool playing Ai's parents.
  • His: I Didn't Think I Would Fall in Love A summer romance that's incredibly sweet.
  • I Just Want to See You aka I Only Want to Keep Looking at You. A sweet, youth romance. (only 4 episodes)
  • My Love Mix-Up!  The Thai adaption of the Japanese Kieta Hatsukoi. I found it completely enjoyable and very Thai. Always a treat to see GemFourth on the screen.
  • My School President School president and music club leader need to cooperate in order to prevent music club closure. Fluffy with superb OST that you’ll want to download. Nice to see supportive parents.
  • Star and Sky: Star in My Mind Thoroughly enjoyable, loved their chemistry. On my re-watch list. College setting. TW: ML's ex-girlfriend has an abusive partner. Spoiler because of the uncertainty of their status contributes to MLs' misunderstandings.
  • We Are Fluffy show in a college setting. I found myself smiling pretty much the whole time. Multiple couples.

I'm back today, as promised ;)
Off to sum up this lovely Sunday:

Gelboys eps 1-4
I'm so glad I'm not a teenager anymore. Heightened emotions, raging hormones, devastating heartbreaks... I don't miss those. That being said, they did a great job at conveying teenage experiences. I could really relate to what they've been going through. I also like the aesthetics. Hopefully I'll finish watching it tomorrow.

The Boy Next World: My Destiny eps 9-10
I thought it would be worse, but it really wasn't so bad. Now I feel the need to watch the Thai original. Some things I don't understand. I thought Sara's mum would be worse and more troublesome in the end, but she wasn't? Sara's brother played a significant role, yet he appeared only twice and he seemed insignificant? Also, why has Sara waited for so long to tell Fuu the whole truth? Hmm... I rarely say this, but I'm not a fan of the second couple. Their story was too short and didn't make much sense to me. Were they any better in Thai adaptation?

My Romance Scammer ep 5
I keep on watching this with tissues at hand, because I'll be ugly crying when the truth comes out. Tim and Pai would make such an amazing couple if not for the marriage scam. In this episode Tim had a change of heart, so I'm hopeful about the future. Maybe the heartbreak won't last too long? Now I'm kind of worried about Pai's grandpa, because he didn't look too happy about his grandson's decision. North and Yu are slowly growing on me and I think their conflict is easier to solve.

Re: Only Friends Bingo

Do we want to make our own cards and play? Or do we want to bet on which actor or character will achieve bingo? Anybody interested?

I share your sentiment :D

 Indie Art Girl:
I would LOVE to have a cat buddy to live with me but I just can't care for one rn

I understand. I couldn't live with my cats when I was at uni. The hardest period of my life...

i felt the same way when i watched. there's lots of drama but imo it's not at all unrealistic to teenage angst and emotions. and the aesthetic of the show was a big plus for me, i really enjoyed it :)

We've missed you, too!

Good to know, thank you :)

I'm rather enjoying the Japanese remake of "Boy Next World"

I'm really curious about your opinion once you finish watching.

 dora:
always happy to have you pop in and give us some helpful reviews!

I'm not sure if my reviews are helpful, but thank you for saying that :) I wish I had such a gift with words as some of you here on this forum. I swear, some of you write such amazing reviews (yours included), that you're like an equivalent of a favourite writer :)

(re Japanese remake of "Boy Next World") OK, I finished the last two regular episodes and am looking forward to the specials next week.

To expand on what I posted back to you yesterday, my opinion remains the same: I liked it - but my perspective is different from yours because I already know the story from the Thai original. I could better appreciate the aspects of the story that I liked and tune out the considerable gaps and weaknesses (as you briefly described yesterday). I didn't have to overthink the confusing mess, overdone MAME-style toxicity and headscratchingly incongruous elements (notably Jin's mind-reading) because I knew where it was going.

Most of all, I really like Nagumo Shoma (handsome and good actor) and Hamaya Takuto (cutie-patootie and good actor). While I liked them both in the Japanese remake of "LITA", I liked them much better in this. Good visuals, good chemistry. (I will not compare them to Boss & Noeul, who are incomparable.)

Looking at Nagumo's credits, it's interesting to see how many BLs he's had roles in, going back to "Minato's Laundramat". I can't think of any other Japanese actor who's had such a concentration of BL roles.

Disclaimer: I might be biased because of my tingly love feelings for Fuu / Hamaya.

P.S. Although the side couple is (as with many side couples) underdeveloped, Taiga is also a cutie-patootie.

id love to join!!! ^_^

I am confused. Is flower boy omegaverse because it doesn't seem that intense in the trailer like others with the omegaverse.
