Winter Fever

I posted about this short YT drama for my first "feed" post on the BL group page and forgot to share it here. All 4 eps are on True Films YT channel.

This drama feels like a toxic relationship in a different way then the usual themes, I think? The desperation to keep someone by your side that you'll do anything, give everything, which ultimately smothers the other person, seems unhealthy.

It sounds really unbalanced. Wouldn't both partners lose touch with themselves?

A quote I heard once popped into my mind while watching it. I may not say it right.

"I love you because I need you." vs "I need you because I love you". Maybe this applies to this story?

I like the SL. 😆

I hope True Film will follow up with a second "season". The ending isn't open but you'll know what I mean if you watch it.

In regards to the whole TharnType discussion that took place a few pages back, I am very much biased. I gave both seasons and special episodes, if I remember correctly, all 10s.

To ask if I would give the same rating today if I watched them, my answer would be a definitive Yes.

However, I do recognise that it has questionable elements, but I differ in how those elements are regarded when I consider the series in its entirety and context of the times.
