I also love Hill and like Easter. I don’t know why people don’t like them. Pond Ponlawit, who plays Hill, is now a favorite of mine. He is an incredible actor. Not everyone likes his earlier work 180 Degrees Longitude Passes Through Us but it’s the only thing I’ve ever given a 10/10. It isn’t your typical BL but Pond is amazing in it. I also adored Reset, another show he did last year. He also did this photo series where he is featured as all these different characters, and even in photos he completely transformed for each role.
He knew exactly what he was doing wearing those boxers. lol. Such a tease!
Pond is a great actor. Extremely talented and handsome. The HillEaster storyline is simple and sweet. I've seen some say it's all over the place and they don't understand it. But I'm having no problem understanding the story as it plays out. I could do without the long flashbacks. Though, I guess those are necessary to fill in the blanks without having them just say the whole story.

Yeah, definitely not gonna win any awards for great story. But, it's sweet and simple and easy to follow, imo. I like their chemistry, not the best I've ever seen, but not the worst either.

Maybe it gets better, but as of episode 8... Johan is coming off as just a possessive, controlling, gaslighting buttwipe. Forbidding North from working at the bar, which maybe I can understand on some level possibly for safety reasons(??), but FORBIDDING him. And keeping North from leaving his apartment and going back to his coffee job. All with the threat of adding to the debt??
I want to like these two, but so far I just want North to run away. Run far away.

I get what you are saying but the thing is that Johan really cares about north he is just doing to protect him and I completely agree that his actions are very very wrong but very hot at the same time for some people (by some people I mean degenerates like me) don't get me wrong I don't like this behaviour in real life
for example If segasaki mizuki forbids yoh from going outside or tells him to not meet manju san because he is "Jealous" I kind of enjoyed that kind of possesive behaviour but if someone tell me to not go outside or to not meet my bestfriend I am going to kick him in the balls and run away to mars
(Also Johan and North kind of gets better in the future eps)

So just like maybe with Arith and Dao in part 2, Jo's methods of "courting" North are really something that would make a real life person to file a police complaint. However, once the series gets past the part of Johan basically blackmailing North to be with him, bc of the he supposedly own Johan a lot of money, Jo really really becomes a simp. He literally would move mountains just to make North happy and North actually in a really odd way balances out Jo's gloomy/hard characteristics. As an established couple for me they work as the best from all the original couples in the series.
