I have been obsessively watching Word of Honor. I know it’s a bromance but the BL allusions are pretty obvious. This is only my second xianxia series. When I watch the untamed i didn’t know what xianxia was or what to expect at all, so I was really confused for awhile. With this one i understand the rules of this type of world better, so just the political maneuvering is confusing, which I always have trouble with in historicals. I found some recaps that help a little. Still, I wish i could find a good character list with all their names. Having one character with multiple names is hard. I try to refer to MDL but it doesn’t have all the name variations. Plus the dialogue is not using the same names as the subtitles, but rather “brother this” or that. I’m watching on Netflix which is only available til the 27th. But Prime also has it. Viki took it down which is too bad because usually the subtitles explain more than other channels.

Starting today i have a friend from high school visiting and some relatives coming to town for a birthday party for my parents, who both turn 80 this year. (Yes, I’m old too.) I don’t enjoy my own birthday so much anymore either as I get older, but I will go out with my friend so that should be fun.

I won’t have as much time to watch anything for the next week but I will try to keep up. Plus all the socializing is tiring and I need the escape.

I quite enjoyed "Playboyy" as the strangely fascinating kind of trainwreck which you likewise tend to enjoy, so you might want to take another run at it when you're in the right mood.

I would rather Thai/Chinese/Korean , no Japanese. Thanks in advance. Also if there is a bl that you absolutely loved and was crazy about that's a different genre/theme that toxic, you can recommend as well. I watch all type of bls.

• Fake Fact Lips : I'm enjoying it too, I hope the quality stays the same I'm glad we have 10 episodes

• ChermChey :As a fellow admirer of Tutor and Yim I enjoyed the first episode, but if I’m being honest if the actors had been people I hadn’t seen before, I don’t know if I would continue watching unless they were really handsome.

• Love Upon a Time : It's on my hold-on list I'm waiting to binge-watch it I'm glad to hear it gets better because the comedy was not to my taste in the first two episodes.

• Magic Move : I said I will start it but I have to wait so I can follow my rule of not watching more than 5 BLs currently airing (I will watch A Dog and a Plane as it airs).

• Wu : I will binge-watch it.

• FY2 : I will watch it in a month, hopefully I'm starting the first season of Fourever You tomorrow night.

• Soul Mate : I loved it as a bromance.

I'm glad I only watched Korean content today so I could fully concentrate on my Korean class. It was effective !

I feel you a double birthday party means there are a lot of people to socialized with. This week-end I will have multiples events (a lightsaber performance in front of hundreds of people😨, a neighbors party (people will ask me how is work and I don't have one 😞), and my birthday) I will definitely need BLs in between the events.

Yeah freedom ! It's a good drama, and it's pretty different from the BLs we are used to watch.
