Double Helix - episodes 5 & 6

I have comments, but I will save them for now because I want to see how things play out a little longer.

What I will say is that I have a strong dislike for Cheng Yi Chen's brother.

Good riddance that Lu Feng's father is dead. I have more in depth comments to make regarding this, but I am honestly just lazy to type them out; moments like this I wish voice notes were a thing on here lol

I look forward to the next episode, especially since I am waiting to see something in particular.

The most beloved drama I disliked was Century of Love. I just couldn’t get into the story.

Wait wait wait.... this was a beloved drama? 🤔 This drama was worse than The Wicked Games and man did that suck. So far their best drama was Love In Translation and I only started liking that drama half way though. The beginning took work to watch. 😩

It was very popular while airing and I think many in this group at that time enjoyed it. I actually watched almost all of it (skipped some boring parts) but my rating was 7/10 = "Just ok" 🤷🏻‍♀️

The most beloved drama I disliked was Century of Love.

Bad Buddy. I had heard so much hype about it and it just didn’t live up to the hype for me.

It's one of my all-time faves, but I can understand how the hype set you up for disappointment.

Until We Meet Again is not a favorite of mine, but not because it isn’t good. I just couldn’t keep watching that suicide Scene over and over, it was too upsetting for me.

As you know, this is my favourite BL of all time - but yeah, the backstory is mega-heavy. When I do my frequent re-watches, I mostly skip over the backstory parts.

• The Effect (though might not be considered a BL)

• My Tooth Your Love

• Unforgotten Night

I have a total soft spot for Unforgotten Night. The tiger scene and him slapping the guard afterwards lives rent free in my head. 🤭

I really enjoyed Jazz for Two and Ball Boy Tactics, but both are below 8 (which for BL is pretty common).

I have a soft spot for The Promise of the Soul which I re-watched at least 10 times, but it gets 7.6 here on MDM. And the latest BL drama I enjoyed that was rated lower than 7.5 is Don't Say No.

i enjoyed those as well, might have rated them 10 too. the ones i listed are like 11/10 for me lol
