It all started with a foot fetish 🦶 Naoya and Takaaki has been in a master-servant relationship for years. Looks like they're both strangely comfortable with this arrangement.

Takaaki could clearly stop, but he keeps coming back for more, so he must enjoy being in a slave-like position. He surely is very obedient. He follows his master's command, whether he agrees with it or not, he even anticipates his next request.

Naoya is currently jobless and clearly feels inferior to Takaaki. He wanted to let him go and live a better life, but it looks like he still needs him by his side.

The Servant Prince ep 2

"Pense ce que tu aime."

To a stranger's eye this relationship may seem unequal, maybe even exploitative, but they actually care about each other. Takaaki supports Naoya and wants to protect him. I think he understands him better than anyone else does. He was there when he hit the rock bottom. Naoya truly wants Takaaki to be happy.

This is crazy 🤭 Naoya is so used to the master-servant dynamics, he's got no idea how to initiate intimacy under the normal terms. Takaaki is hiding his unbridled lust.

The Servant Prince ep 3

"Dis moi tout."

Takaaki is his emotional support. Naoya is his leash. They give each other what they need.

Naoya is a very bright young man. It's a waste to let him work as a waiter, but he's rebuilding his life, so it's good to take things slow.

I was so happy Naoya got back on his feet, only to see his father trampling on him again. That's yet another 'terrible father' to my collection. That's a third one recently 😠 Seriously, Naoya was doing so well in his new job and his co-workers genuinely liked him... Thank goodness for Mori-san and his kind words. Naoya is more sensitive than he appears to be, so needed them.

Respect to Takaaki for not giving in to Naoya's plead. I didn't expect a love confession, but it was so tender and loving 🥰

The Servant Prince ep 4

"Je le donnerais."

What's wrong with this family? First his father, now his younger brother? I guess Yuma can't take their father's pressure, so he wants Naoya to come back. Because Naoya is soft-hearted, but headstrong.

Takaaki is jealous, so he momentarily lost control (I'm not sure about the tongue part. Did Takaaki bite Naoya?). He is aware of his dark urges, so that's good. He believes he's similar to Naoya's dad, but Naoya disagrees. Their relationship's got interesting dynamics. Who is truly the master here? Who's got the power over the other?

P.S. I need a BL with a nice dad for a change 😫

For those not familiar with it: "Soul Mate" (Netflix) is a superb LGBT-themed drama (not BL in the usual sense) with wonderful lead actors and a lot of depth (more and more as one reflects back on it), but it's heavy.

I loved it and binge-watched it in one day, but yes, it's heavy.

Hello! Hope everyone is doing well. I'm just popping in real quick before dipping back out. Started one crochet project and still have another one to start. Got the walls down in one room. This weekend will be the next room, but I wanted to touch base. I would update on everything I completed but apparently I watched over 100 dramas and 2? movies (me: what movies, I don't remember 😵‍💫)

I'm binge-watching it today, 2 episodes in, and I'm enjoying it ! But I'm having a hard time with the narrative voice. It's really not my thing, but I have to get used to it.

And while Hinata (Fukuda Ayuta) and Teerak (Kong) are both adorably cute, their cuteness is very different: Teerak is more naive and child-like, which I think is sweet and endearing, but I know that some viewers really dislike it. Hinata is a more mature version which could potentially work better as a convincing, engaging love story.

It's interesting to see the differences between the two versions, and I'm not surprised that Japan chose to make the lead a bit more mature. I'll binge-watch it later, just like I did with the Thai version.

It's be interesting indeed to see how Jjay (now "JT") does in a comedy role ("Magic Lover"). The "straight man" (in the sense of playing the role straight and serious, nothing to do with sexuality) is a classic comedy technique which often works well, if JT plays the role that way.

I find it encouraging that Jjay changed his nickname to "JT" in order to join Domundi and partner with Ohmkrit in that I see it as a sign that JT is very serious about it as a longer-term commitment. Fingers crossed that it's success - most of all for the sake of my beloved Ohmkrit.

That could be such a good strategy. I have to get used to the nickname JT. I also hope it's a success ! I love OhmKrit so much, and I wish them all the success in the world. 💜

Serizawa ep 1 : Good call, Mr. P ! I love it. I have a few things in common with Suzuki, like our hobbies. Daydreaming and BL are my favourites. 😆 It's so cute, and it has embarrassing moments (but not so embarrassing that I need to take a break). 😂 Seeing the F4 cliché group makes me want to rewatch Hana Yori Dango.

Knot ep 8 : The first scene felt soooo long, and it was, almost 9 minutes, I think. I'm not really into business, so it wasn't particularly interesting to me, and I wish we could have seen even more of the second couple. The good point is that we got to see more of Sangnuea.

I feel a bit dumb because after seeing so many dramas, I can usually easily guess things before they happen, and I should have had doubts about Sangnuea. But no, I think his beauty blinded me and I couldn't see anything else. 😂

Perfect 10 Liners 1-12 : I'm enjoying it more and more I wasn't really into the story of Arm and Arc (first 8 episodes). Little by little I'm getting attached to Yotha and Gun but I already love and feel sad for Faifa, I'm curious to see more of Wine, and all of Faifa story.

Bittersweet Love 1-2 : I'm enjoying it but too soon to tell. I hope the narrative voice will disappear later.

Bittersweet Love : It was pretty good, but not mind-blowing. I think the emotion I felt the most while watching this was frustration, mainly because of the Lu family. I loved the main couple, although I got a bit confused at times because I know nothing about the stock market. It was a shame they had to be "separated" three times. But I'm glad it had a happy ending. 💜 8/10
