The entire drama is laced with horrifying reality with the beautiful cinematography and genuine love acting as a deadly distraction. The correlation to how fans view the BL industry and ignore/not focus on or even be unaware of the sometimes toxic culture it creates.

No no, def. a happy ending. As I said we even get a proper NC scene which BL final episodes don't always have. But not only that, they are able to get a fresh starts to their lives as a couple.

The hard part was a personal trigger of an event that happened, both in the drama and irl, on top of feeling attached to the character of that event in the drama. I don't want to spoil anything.

I'll do this ! I think I can at least watch these 2 episodes tonight if I don't have time to watch everything, and I'll watch the last 2 in the morning since I'm enjoying it more when it's the last thing I watch of the day or the first thing in the morning.

just read your comment, and their replies are correct. it's still sad though, but i agree, it's sadder if what you thought was what happened. the real reason though is that changyang's brother has a fixed cbl pair which is not part of the series, hence qing tian cant end up with him
