Six men arrive at a seaside house as complete strangers, each searching for the partner who matches him best."

Although my expectations aren't super high, I find that "reality" shows like these can be a nice change from dramas.

Just reaching the end of today's first episode of "Project XY" - and so far, it's about what I expect. At the very least it makes a nice change from dramas. I already picked my favourite cutie of the six contestaant actors, which (at least for me) is the most important thing! (It's listed as Hong Kong, but the six are from all over China.)

In this respect, it's comparable in principle to last year's "Love Casting" (Taiwan), which started off very promising but became increasingly disappointing. I hope that "Project XY" is better structured.

I appreciate that they're being honest from the start that it's about actors competing for CPs. One of several things that really irritated me about last year's "Boys Vibe" is that it started off pretending to be a real matchmaking show, but it was very clearly about promoting acting careers. Sadly, it's so far been starkly unsuccessful at doing so (other than Kong Montree, who was already an established actor).

@Tiffany, here's my feedback after the final episode:

I really liked the series, although I admit that I'm biased (as often the case) by my cuddly love feelings for Fukada Ryusei, which you may or may not share.

As I've written before, the production value is very high, and there are several very cute doggies, wuff wuff. There's also a nice family-and-friends dynamic.

Thank you for your feedback ! I'm not ready to read the spoilers for now. 😆 As the weeks passed, I got more and more curious. The rating is pretty high, with an 8.1 on MDL, so I will absolutely watch it.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I still remember the dogs I had when I was a child, and they will always have a place in my heart. I can imagine how hard it must be to lose Duke after so many years. I'm glad he had a long life and that you have so many memories with him. Take all the time you need, and I hope being with your parents will help you a little. 🥺💜

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved husky. Sending you all the well wishes and love to you and your family as you grieve 💜💜💜It sounds like duke was well loved and had a good life as part of your family

Don't Be Too Emotional ep 12 (finale)

Okayyy I think I will have to sleep on this one, bf writing my overall review.

Regarding the final ep 12, considering how frustrated I have been with the general plot progression of this series, I actually liked the last episode. Sure could we maybe have done without Big Jane's little brother being kidnapped and Dan attempting to shoot every one of them, maybe yes, bc the whole car crash with Jane's memory loss was already quite dramatic way to progress the last few eps to begin with. I especially appreciated the wedding scene which kind of took us back where we started, bit different from what we usually see in BL and romantic dramas in general.

But about the overall rating of this show. For the chemistry and acting especially for the main pair I would like to rate this relatively highly, but the plot was just.... it was too much leaning on the "I want him, I don't want him." At the end if the series didn't have the whole car accident with Jane loosing and recovering his memory, the whole plot would have just been about Jane constantly pondering does or does he not want to be with Big Jane. In a dark/toxic romance you can use this card a few times, but not base majority of 12 ep show on this alone. Additionally despite what the trailers alluded to, we had no super natural elements to this, which means my call half way trough the series about this was correct.

Sooo for the intense chemistry and generally very good acting with almost all the characters in this show, it's a good one, but the plot..... there was just too much of the on again, off again to carry the show trough all 12 episodes.
