hiiii everyone, it's been so long!!!!!!!

my laptop broke again and it took almost 2 months to get it fixed (ᵕ—ᴗ—) and it's still having minor problems. i need to just get a new one lol (if anyone happens to have any advice on good budget gaming laptops lmk 🙏)

i feel like i've missed so much!!!!! i'm a little overwhelmed trying to figure out where to start. what are everyone's favs from completed shows in the last couple months?

on my radar are: Blue Lips, The Prosecutor's Proposal, Don't Be Too Emotional, Journey With You, Knot, and Life In Smokey Blue. i'd love to hear what you guys thought of these or if there's any other shows that are worth checking out :)

I would start with Prosecutor's Proposal and Life in Smokey blue. Don't be emotional is good if you just watch it for the main couple chemistry, but be prepared that the plot can be frustrating at times. Blue Lips is okay as a binge watch, but me warned about the sloppy AI use in some production elements (not related to actors in this one).

I'm debating whether to start on "Crow Club" and "Oops Mysterious Sounds". I'm really keen on both, but I really should wait a few weeks till I have time, then do a binge catch-up. Should I listen to my head or my heart?

Crow Club looks really good whereas Oops! Mysterious Sounds has cuties but otherwise didn’t impress me at all. Definitely more cuties in The Crow Club, so I’d start that first. You can always watch Oops! when you have time, if you like the actors.

I haven't watched any BLs in a while until tonight, so I'm further behind than ever, and even forgot this week's ep of Mr. Fanboy until this moment.

Connecting to You + Special

I would rec this drama just for the story and the cute MLs, especially after they got together. I enjoyed the cast, even dramatic Chao Nan. My fav though is Mr. Policeman, Dawei. 😍😎. I had trouble with how they styled Chai Kai's hair and the way they made him walk/run in such a strange manner. So odd. 🤔 🤷🏻‍♀️

Small things aside, I still enjoyed this series.

You and p43425 really do have similar taste and once again I'm the opposite 😂. The Crow Club didn't impress me much. It was kind of all over the place and I couldn't connect with any of the characters (yet, I'm sure that will change as it's only the first episode.)

However, Oops! did a good job in setting up the relationship dynamics then ending the episode with the set up for the main plot, making me excited for the next episode.

I am mildy interested. They were not my fave from Fourever you which was more related to their storyline rather than them as actors. I was hoping they could get another show, bc I see potential with them.

Okay I am finally caught up with my current priority shows so here are short reviews. May contain spoilers!

The Crow Club ep 1

It was bit slow and the productions way to introduce all the main couples felt bit clumsy. I get it, with so many main pairs they had to find a way to introduce them all and lay the starting point of each pair, but maybe dividing the introductions to two episodes could have given a chance to more natural feeling story progression. Still we are now set, so I hope things will pick up from ep 2 onward. I did still like this, high quality production, good actors and I did have a giggle of Linda already being so done with her staff that she was willing to send everyone to a psychiatrist.

Mr. Fanboy ep 4

Wan please listen to your sister and other ppl around you, you are in showbizz now so think with your brains for a second?! I think it is time to take the fanboy coloured lenses out of your eyes and see that Nine is a 100% snake. Have to say while I am not a fan of the sleazy director, he clearly knows his business, any publicity for a upcoming drama with a 1 million pilot is good publicity especially if it gets hype in social. This has been quite curious BL for me to watch, bc I think I have been anticipating more of how Wan is going to survive the next episode in terms of his fresh acting career rather than what is happening with the romance part. The romance is def progressing, but it is good that the show has other elements to carry it.

You Maniac ep 4

First my biggest critique, a show supposedly telling about two red flags fooling around we are teasing the first NC scene waaay too long. But bc this is GMMTV production I shouldn't be surprised, bc the shows are never as edgy as they promote them to be. I calling GMMTV as the Disney of BL industry at this point. But yeah this was certainly getting very tame, but at the end we got some drama and cycle will start again. Maybe next time they will even get to the sex part. 😅 About the second couple, I think who actually might end up being more burned at the end is not Dean and Moth, but the vet. If the vet really will fall for Ten, imagine when he finds out about him basically recruiting Dean to seduce Moth out of the way. That is going be a real mess to deal with
