I also saw the “AI-generated content” tag. Do you know to what extent AI is used in the drama ? Like, for some landscapes or to replace a real person ?
From what I've been seeing and hearing and the fact I dropped it after 10 minutes after seeing AI usethe ending completely ruined it with it with completely unrealistic scenarios and it becoming progressively worse with episodes.
There is a lot of AI use with AI characters ( not the main 2 ) but everyone else seen and scenes also used AI as there were a lot of war zones.
It is rated 7.5 at the moment so better to skip to put energy into shows that you are already watching or finding something better quality.

Yeah this was kind of meh, I did watch all episodes. The plot had actually potential, but it's obvious they didn't have the production budget to pull it off. The AI use was def there, but the main actors are rlf ppl. This somehow had a lot of cliches of C-BLs, but managed to combine them in the most generic way possible.

My understanding is that it's non-BL comedy, but it's Domundi/Mandee, so I'll almost surely watch it for the cast, even if it's meh.

I needed something quick and flimsy, so I just binge-watched "My Dangerous Cat Roommate" (quick 30-ep. vertical on iQiyi Shorts, not listed on MDL) . It's trashy AI-generated pulp fiction, but I loved it! (Trigger warning for those who don't like BLs about pets changing into human boyfriends: You definitely won't like it, haha!)

I would start with Prosecutor's Proposal and Life in Smokey blue. Don't be emotional is good if you just watch it for the main couple chemistry, but be prepared that the plot can be frustrating at times. Blue Lips is okay as a binge watch, but me warned about the sloppy AI use in some production elements (not related to actors in this one).

and good to know, thanks for the info. AI use, especially for artistic things, is usually a pretty big turn off for me personally so i might just skip that one. i've certainly got plenty of other stuff to watch lol

Hey, welcome back! I'm so glad you like Winter Sun. It's my TOP BL drama for 2026, so far!! It's also the only one I posted so much about here while it was airing. I'm actually excited for the day when I can rewatch it, haha, cuz I rarely rewatch a drama. It'll have to be at least a year from now. 😻
PS - I only have 2 watch challenges left to finish. I'll prob only do one for 2027 unless the BL challenge is updated with new prompts next year.

It's not BL except by association with Bever, Tonliew and the two supporting actors Guide and Dech (or if one has a very active imagination).
It has a lot of weaknesses but also a lot of really adorably cute moments. I loved it!
The episodes are nominally about 6 min., but each episode has a section of stills (after the main part and before the bit at the end) that can be skipped, so each episode is more like 4 min.
