If the industry had a better budget for it I would love to see more grander and ambitious sci-fi/fantasy/supernatural/thriller BLs one day.

I actually think supernatural and thriller is where the industry is heading for 2024.

 RiqueXinw:
it seems to copy dramacool

Dramacool is also a pirate site that frequently has to change hosts.

 RiqueXinw:

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I just watched The Middkeman's Love and it was like the circus came to town and I was the clown for watching all of the episode.

As Blanche from Golden Girls would say, "I am stunned, just stunned, stunned is the only way to describe just how stunned I am"

WTF were they thinking?

I have not watched the episode but the show and one of lead actors is getting cooked everywhere I go lol. It must be bad. It has been a while since I have seen a BL get so much collective dislike and with only the first episode released. I need to see it for myself at some point.

LOL, I live for all the comments about The Middleman's Love. I've seen the first trailer months ago and I thought it's ridiculous. I hoped only trailer would be this way, but apparently the whole series is going to be like this. I'll probably binge it after it finishes airing, but I'm not looking forward to it. Fingers crossed they'll tone it down in the later episodes or some redeeming quality will appear...

Oh, okay!

Like the circus - that's a good analogy. While watching, every time Jade went crazy I immediately looked at Mai's face to check for an expression of disbelief...or something.

 RiqueXinw:

I normally use it as a backup site if all the others are not working but I also don't know much except that it seems to copy dramacool

A backup site is a good idea.  I was given the Dramacool site as well, but I didn't get along with it very well.

Apparently ads on Dramacool have been known to infect devices with malware and brick computers. Good ad blockers are a must anyway, but especially for sites like those. Besides the piracy issue.

Just putting this in for any readers who aren't familiar.

So, "Aki wa Haru to Gohan wo Tabeta" was finally released on GagaOoLala. I had been waiting to watch it. It came at just the right time, i.e. when I needed something heartwarming.

I'm thinking about subscribing to GagaOoLala, if it would provide a wider scope of choices. I have Viki and Netflixs, but both seem limited, based on how many dramas/series I hear about but can't watch!

Any advice is welcome. :-)

Thank you!

GagaOoLala is the one I'll subscribe to first, to support queer content and their work. I wonder if it might not make sense to have a separate thread for the service rather than making this one thread do everything?

i may have actually gotten someone hooked on BL. or more like Mix Sahaphap did.

(insert shock and LOL emojis)

For BL Gaga & Viki seem to be  the way to go. WeTv /Tencent & Iqiyi (might be worth it if you watch a lo tof c-dramas too)  have a few as well. The rest are likely on YouTube. Watching JBLs legally is kind of hard though lol. It depends on your budget and region availability really.
