Magnoliee:
I am new to this thread and to the BL Drama World. :-)
I have just watched the last episode of Cherry Magic (2023 Thai Version) and need to tell someone, how much I love/ loved it! I didn't expect to fall in love with this series so much.
Hi Magnoliee and welcome. I just finished Cherry Magic (Thai) too and it's really up there with the best of BLs. I won't add any more recs to the lists already mentioned, as I'm sure whatever I suggest is out there! I will say that there are some great Korean BL gems!

As for Cherry Magic, I hope you’ll enjoy the final 2 episodes as much as I did :)
I enjoyed the last 2 EP a lot! I love Karan so much and his devotion to Achi from beginning to end was just so sweet and warm. I loved the part where Karan and Achi were video calling and they were doing the same things at the same time. Sooo cute! And Karan on the beach with his hair ruffled - oh la la!! And their love scene was very well done.
I didn't care for either of the second couples in both versions, but the Thai couple was a bit better, although I felt very little chemistry between the two. I didn't enjoy many of their scenes tbh.
Cherry Magic J-version was an early BL drama for me. The Thai series has almost made me forget what the J-series was like, haha. So much so that I went back and checked out EP 1 of the J-version and right off the bat Adachi was clumsy :-( , but cute too. A lot of narration, not my thing. I love Kurosawa still and always will. There is a sentimental attachment. :-)
Someone asked which Cherry Magic we liked better and I can say the Thai version has just the slightest edge for me. After reading Axdxex's comments about both Cherry Magic versions, I feel quite similar, so I won't repeat everything.

I’m glad you managed to finish La Cuisine. Would like to know your thoughts on it.
The first half started off light and mostly centered around food. I warmed up to the MLs as a couple in the middle and was actually finding the story pleasant -THEN it changed to bullying, assault, and worse, guns came out. I don't know what to say. It was like two different stories.
One of my biggest pet peeves on MDL is that tags aren't used when they should be. This drama clearly should have tags like bullying, physical assault and so on. It comes across as a light and cute BL but imo it's not honestly represented.
Ram studies architecture at uni but goes to France for jewelry design. ??? Anyway, Ram didn't show much range of expression, especially after his confession. I was not convinced that they were attracted to each other as lovers.
Well, I've never written such long comments about a drama and here I am running on and on about two in one post! Jeesh!!
