with office/ coworker setting (if there are any left), great chemistry in your eyes, or enemies to lovers trope, most comfortable with happy end

Off the top of my head (I may edit this post later), those that might fulfil your criteria are:

* More a misunderstanding or miscommunication causing initial antagonism and/or tension

Just to add, any text in blue is a link to the MDL page. The list above is in no particular order. I just tried to think of dramas that might match your criteria.

 Magnoliee:
Is there a Korean or Japanese BL office drama you think I can give a try

In addition to the original Japanese "Cherry Magic", which would be an interesting comparison for you, another very "office" JBL that jumps to mind is "Old Fashion Cupcake". "Senpai, Danjite Koidewa!" is also very "office" - not one of my faves, but many others liked it a lot. "Bokura no Shokutaku" and the recently released "Perfect Propose" also have significant office-themed components but also non-office settings - and I loved both.

As to Korean BLs in an office setting, there are quite a few - "Our Dating Sim" and "Love Mate" jump to mind as two that I personally really loved.

 Magnoliee:

Hello p43425 thank you for your answer.!

Oh you are right, I forgot about that. :-) I think I'll just try my luck and see if I can find a few of the dramas recommended and if not, I'm out of luck. :D
I am open for other than Thai, too. I appreciate every recommendation.
Is there a Korean or Japanese BL office drama you think I can give a try or another one, what is one of your favourites?

Hi. Welcome! You’ve come to the right place for BL recommendations :D

For Japanese office romance, those I can think of that I have watched are

As for Korean ones, these are the ones I liked

 Magnoliee:
I don't know if this is the right place to ask, does anyone have other drama recommendations for a BL newbie like me?

If you liked Cherry Magic, I think you might like Bokura No Shokutaku. It's a sweet comfort show with little drama.

As a starter pack, I'd recommend:

Its actually kind of hard to find a good working adult/office romance (one of my gripes)....

 Magnoliee:
Which BL dramas you wholeheartedly recommend and a newbie has to watch? :-)

You can check out my list of drama recs!

Happy watching you have just entered heaven.

Lmao I laughed out loud at this cause it's so true haha

 Sruthipriya mahesh:
can you recommend me some thai ones? (I didn't ask for Japanese, because I know you don't watch them, but if you do, let me know! :) )

For Thai, my non-BL favorites are:

I am new to this thread and to the BL Drama World. :-)

I have just watched the last episode of Cherry Magic (2023 Thai Version) and need to tell someone, how much I love/ loved it! I didn't expect to fall in love with this series so much.

Hi Magnoliee and welcome. I just finished Cherry Magic (Thai) too and it's really up there with the best of BLs. I won't add any more recs to the lists already mentioned, as I'm sure whatever I suggest is out there!  I will say that there are some great Korean BL gems!

 Jojo:
As for Cherry Magic, I hope you’ll enjoy the final 2 episodes as much as I did :)

I enjoyed the last 2 EP a lot! I love Karan so much and his devotion to Achi from beginning to end was just so sweet and warm. I loved the part where Karan and Achi were video calling and they were doing the same things at the same time. Sooo cute! And Karan on the beach with his hair ruffled - oh la la!!  And their love scene was very well done.

I didn't care for either of the second couples in both versions, but the Thai couple was a bit better, although I felt very little chemistry between the two.  I didn't enjoy many of their scenes tbh.

Cherry Magic J-version was an early BL drama for me.  The Thai series has almost made me forget what the J-series was like, haha.  So much so that I went back and checked out EP 1 of the J-version and right off the bat Adachi was clumsy :-( , but cute too. A lot of narration, not my thing.  I love Kurosawa still and always will. There is a sentimental attachment. :-)

Someone asked which Cherry Magic we liked better and I can say the Thai version has just the slightest edge for me.  After reading Axdxex's comments about both Cherry Magic versions, I feel quite similar, so I won't repeat everything.

I’m glad you managed to finish La Cuisine. Would like to know your thoughts on it.

The first half started off light and mostly centered around food. I warmed up to the MLs as a couple in the middle  and was actually finding the story pleasant -THEN it changed to bullying, assault, and worse, guns came out. I don't know what to say.  It was like two different stories.

One of my biggest pet peeves on MDL is that tags aren't used when they should be.  This drama clearly should have tags like bullying, physical assault and so on. It comes across as a light and cute BL but imo it's not honestly represented.

Ram studies architecture at uni but goes to France for jewelry design. ??? Anyway, Ram didn't show much range of expression, especially after his confession. I was not convinced that they were attracted to each other as lovers.

Well, I've never written such long comments about a drama and here I am running on and on about two in one post! Jeesh!!

I have a list of dramas I've rated a 10/10, for both Non-BL & BL.  All countries mixed in.

Is this not available internationally?

Not as far as I know, sadly... I feel like I've been waiting forever...

I finally finished Playboyy, and was it good? No, but it certainly gets points for hilarity.

I only watched the first episode and forgot about it. I should power through it at some point haha
