So, I ultimately discovered I still love BLs but an exclusive diet of them is a no go for me.

I almost always have a couple of non-BLs and BLs at one time so I can bounce back and forth depending on how I feel that day or when I get a little tired of the same drama, but I know I want to watch the whole thing.  On the other hand, if I take too long of a break from an unfinished series, I run the risk of losing interest completely. I have a graveyard of buried unfinished dramas haha.

There's always another drama to try. Another day to spend in dramaland!

I'm the same. I watch a lot of K-Dramas, as well as some J-Dramas to keep things fresh.

Are you me? I have a whole list of hold dramas that I need to add to my on-hold list so I don't forget what I was at one time invested in and yet lost the desire to continue on somewhere along the way. However, I will say that all is not lost. I am in the middle of a huge cross state move and I've found that having some previously on hold (low stakes) shows running in the background has actually got me interested enough again keep watching. I'm very much a mood watcher, too. So who knows.

I feel better knowing I'm not alone :)

Interesting...I just moved across state as well. Maybe we are each other in another universe. :-) :-)

I am sorry for making you uncomfortable :(

No worries at all. I'm not uncomfortable so don't feel bad.  I don't take it personal.  :-)

Lord have mercy on my eyes.

You can say that again! hehe

Has anyone seen teaser photos for The Sign? I don't want to post them because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. However, my heart!!! I'm so excited.

HELP REQUIRED

There is this reel someone posted on IG with these two guys and everyone in the comments wants to know if it is a BL and if so, what is the name but the person who posted it does not know either because they just reposted the reel. Apparently the person who posted it has been in search for 2 weeks now. I am hoping someone here will know where this scene is from.

For those who watched Cherry Magic in both the Jap and Thai versions, which do you prefer and why?

Personally, I loved both. I think they both have their own charms. However, I think I like the Thai version better even though I feel like it's less like it's source material.   Sorry for this being a little long.

Japanese version will always have a special place in my heart because it was silly and cute and fluffy. I had fun silly goofy time.  There is something to say that it is more like it's source material because I enjoy when things get proper adaptation, and sometimes when romance mangas get adaptations they can suck or be fantastic. This is a case of it being amazing.

However, the Thai version I think is my favorite.  I'm going to start by saying that before starting Cherry Magic Thailand, I had not seen Dark Blue Kiss with Tay & New. I have since started it, and I'm enjoying. There is something about the chemistry between Tay & New and the way they changed the storyline in this one that just feels more realistic. While the Japanese one focused on more the comedy and romance of the story I think the Thai version focus on fleshing out the main characters for them to seem more real.  I feel more connected to the character of Achi than Adachi.  I also enjoy how the side characters were developed here vs in Japanese one.

Achi character development and feeling lost as an adult and where he is going professionally in his life felt relatable. I remember that Adachi also goes through it but I like Achi plotline more.

It ended up really being about the small details in Thai version vs Japanese version that made me like it better. Also, I personally like the chemistry between Tay & New more than Akaso Eiji & Machida Keita.

There could be an argument saying that Tay & New have known each other longer, and that's why I felt like their chemistry was more effortless.  Also, that the Thai version had more time to develop the characters and it's side characters.

At the end, personally the Thai version is my favorite, but both are fantastic and fun.  I would recommend anyone to watch both because they lowkey feel different from each other.

Ok so I've finally decided to continue DFF (cause I don't like dropping a drama)

I had watched ep 1 ages ago (beginning of the year I think) but then started other dramas so I couldn't be bothered to continue it

But now I've come back to it and thought I'll give it a second chance

Wdu guys think? Is it good?

I have been really enjoying DFF, but that mask freaks me out so badly. I'm not sure if I'm just stupid or something, but I can't seem to guess what is going to happen next.

I have a list of dramas I've rated a 10/10, for both Non-BL & BL.  All countries mixed in.

I'm loving your list. Plus & Minus is one that I really want to watch, but I haven't gotten around to it.

Have you ever read Cherry Blossom After Winter? If you like the drama, you should really read it. It's so good.
