um, didn't the series already get released? Or do you not mean the same teaser photos I think you mean?

OMG my dummy brain! It's been a long day. LOL. I meant the teaser photos for the special episode. This is what happens when you done proof read before you post something.

 Hannah:

I'm loving your list. Plus & Minus is one that I really want to watch, but I haven't gotten around to it.

Have you ever read Cherry Blossom After Winter? If you like the drama, you should really read it. It's so good.

Thank you! I'm glad you like the list.

Oh boy, I had a major crush on Mr. Bartender Yuki in Plus & Minus. This was a fun series. I hope you will enjoy it when you have a chance to watch.

I haven't read a  BL book yet, but I have a rec list from RiqueXinw when I have time to start looking for a book or two. Cherry Blossoms with Ok Jin Uk was just perfection. I wanted to reach through my screen and squeeze him so hard. He is the definition of cute. I bet the book is good! Adding to my book list.  :-)

If you also want, I have found some translation of the Thai BL series that are based off some books on Wattpad.

HELP REQUIRED

There is this reel someone posted on IG with these two guys and everyone in the comments wants to know if it is a BL and if so, what is the name but the person who posted it does not know either because they just reposted the reel. Apparently the person who posted it has been in search for 2 weeks now. I am hoping someone here will know where this scene is from.

Yep. One of my fellow server members found it. It's from an MV: https://youtu.be/diyhrrpqYPU?si=Z7-Hz7c7OJSBkOA7

To whoever brought up "La Cuisine" a few days ago: Thanks for the nudge. It had been languishing in my PTW list for a long time, and I wasn't so enthusiastic about it from the reviews - but so far (after three episodes) I'm really enjoying it: Not brilliant drama, writing or acting but fluffy, cute and entertaining in the way of so many light Thai BLs. Aside from the food porn appeal, I also like the dynamics among the two friend groupings, which is something that quite a few other Thai BLs also get right.

Greetings. Newbie here, just stumbled across this group. I've been trying to keep up with what's current  while I fill in what I have missed from previous seasons. Once I know a little more I look forward to lively discussions with fellow BL fans.

I’ve just been gone one day and there’s so many comments that I can’t keep up, LOL. Sorry if I missed replying to any of you.

@American Fan, yes, we can be a secret group, hahaha…

@p43425, glad you’re enjoying La Cuisine. It was really the food that caught my attention and held me most of the time in the series. One of the things that consistent in the show and which I loved is the two friendship groups. They are such a great support to both ML. Another thing is also that it tackles issues like bullying, negative effect of social media etc. So, just a warning that there are some rather emotional and dramatic scenes in the middle-end of the show but it’s a happy ending. I agree that the acting isn’t that but great but considering it’s both ML acting debut, I think they’ve done a decent job.

MY HEART IS BROKEN AND HEALED AT THE SAME TIME T_T

Also, the ending is so confusing -_- How did Yai come back and see Jom again? I'm so confused but can't stop crying

It was so beautiful, their love was just so pure

 American Fan:

IFYLITA - Oh no! I've heard other comments about how confusing the ending was. I thought I also read there is an explanation somewhere? Does anyone know?

If we go by the novel The Yai at the end is a reincarnation of the two previous Yai's (I'm really hoping we get a second season for the second half of the novel).

(re "La Cuisine") Ah, I didn't know that. Considering this, the two lead actors are not bad at all.

Useful tip for Gagaoolala on the PC (Windows): It's been bothering me for a while that subtitles are sometimes hard to read against a light background. I found this especially troublesome while watching "La Cuisine", so I checked the subtitle settings and changed "background opacity" to 25% - and voilà, they're so much more readible now. I highly recommend  this for those who watch Gagaoolala on PC.

Ah, ALL the credit should go to AthenaTheStorierX creator of the GL Drama Lovers Club, who found it using her exceptional drama detective skills.

Ok thank you! Yes, I heard other say they want a second season too.

Nothin' wrong with a nice fluffy Thai rom-com when one is in the mood for a nice fluffy Thai rom-com!

Yeah, I really like it when they have a nice group of friends. This reminds me a bit of "Secret Crush on You" and "Tin Tem Jai" (among other BLs), both fluffy lightweight Thai BLs with really sweet friend group dynamics. (I know many others didn't like these so much, but I did.) And just like in these other two BLs, the group of friends includes a really sweet and likeable female character who is integral to the group - Som in "Secret Crush", Barbie in "Tin Tem Jai" and of course the adorable Pangchie in "La Cuisine". (I'm a guy who mostly likes just guys, but she makes me smile. *blush emoji*)

However, one thing that annoys me a bit is the Thai trope of the dislikeable manipulative nasty rhymes-with-witch character who is the competition for the alpha protagonist (Namning in "La Cuisine", Prao in "Secret Crush", Yam in "Oxygen" and various others) and who is so over-the-top exaggerated as to detract from the story. Rather than angels and demons, I wish these Thai writers and directors would try to make the "bad" characters more believable.

Looking through my PTW list for the next great BL to watch and found this little film, At The Moment, but haven't found a place to watch it.  It may be on gaga and I don't have it right now.

 p43425:
the adorable Pangchie in "La Cuisine".

She is so cute and such pretty eyes!! I loved her character too.  Did you finish La Cuisine? I too really enjoyed the friendship groups.
