I started this for the first time the other day. I'm at episode 20 so a third of the way through. The drama is ridiculous... its giving Days Of Our Lives /telenovela vibes. I can not keep up with the messiness and the pugilism 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the screenwriters did the MOST

I mean I like her like this! Or when she wears her jeans in Pluto. I don’t like the part where they dress her up like a Princess. Why not a tux? I’m not into femme women so sometimes the Thai dramas annoy me when all the main characters are in makeup and heels. I am femme but not usually makeup and heels and my wife is very masculine. I want to see more couples or characters like us.

I see. I am also not attracted (romantically) to femme characters that much because I fall in that category but also I am not into butch personalities, Namtan better say the personality she presents is like a unexplainable balance between femme and butch. And that hits my spots ;)
For more butch representation, you will have to look towards English shows, though Thai shows also have butch representation. I agree with you that Thai creators should work in that sector.

Truth to be told, The Rich Man's Daughter is a pathbreaker drama, the acting of side characters, plot, production quality will come off as absurd many times but the contribution and social awareness this drama created is unimaginable.
And me being Indian and having watched lots of Indian soap/serial, I had and have no problem to digest the absurdness of The Rich Man's Daughter :P

I have seen Western shows with appealing lesbian couples but usually the stories are too serious for me. I watch Asian romances because I like the story setups with romances and happy endings. I mostly watch BLs because I’m pansexual and I like watching pretty boys too. But I keep trying GLs hoping the stories or couples or both will finally draw me in. Also I want more believable chemistry between the leads. Us sold me on that but no others. Namtan is totally believable but I don’t really think Film is. I have yet to finish Pluto but I like the story and I like Namtan the best out of any GL lead I have seen so far.

Ive watched my fair share of mad dramas... so I'm very invested in this particular brand of madness esp as a lesbian who wants to see more WLW content. And them being the trailblazers (so to speak) is even more reason to love its absolute ridiculous flipping plot. Just take regular breaks from the madness to watch a sensible plot and then dive back into the crazy

I think watching the thai GLs they kinda hint at one of the pairings being more masculine than the other partner (of the pairing) but under the sort of western eye both ladies are still hella femme. But this is the acting world, and just because its a bunch of ladies doing all the loving I'm not really expecting "realistic" couples in so much as representing a broader spectrum of women. It'll all be 5ft4-9 (usually the taller girl is the "butch" one) slim mostly femme WLW couples so they appeal to the most range of ppl. I wouldn't mind seeing more butch representation, but as this is a G4P industry (for the most part) I can't imagine they see a market for parings that wont entice a het male at some point. So all we gonna get is the soft butch/androgynous Bette/Cathy DeBuono style of lesbian depiction.
