I started this for the first time the other day. I'm at episode 20 so a third of the way through.  The drama is ridiculous... its giving Days Of Our Lives /telenovela vibes. I can not keep up with the messiness and the pugilism 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the screenwriters did the MOST

I see. I am also not attracted (romantically) to femme characters that much because I fall in that category but also I am not into butch personalities, Namtan better say the personality she presents is like a unexplainable balance between femme and butch. And that hits my spots ;)

For more butch representation, you will have to look towards English shows, though Thai shows also have butch representation. I agree with you that Thai creators should work in that sector.

I have seen Western shows with appealing lesbian couples but usually the stories are too serious for me. I watch Asian romances because I like the story setups with romances and happy endings. I mostly watch BLs because I’m pansexual and I like watching pretty boys too. But I keep trying GLs hoping the stories or couples or both will finally draw me in. Also I want more believable chemistry between the leads. Us sold me on that but no others. Namtan is totally believable but I don’t really think Film is. I have yet to finish Pluto but I like the story and I like Namtan the best out of any GL lead I have seen so far.

the couples don’t have to be butch-femme for me to find it sexy but if they are both too high femme I am not as into it.

I think watching the thai GLs they kinda hint at one of the pairings being more masculine than the other partner (of the pairing) but under the sort of western eye both ladies are still hella femme. But this is the acting world, and just because its a bunch of ladies doing all the loving I'm not really expecting "realistic" couples in so much as representing a broader spectrum of women. It'll all be 5ft4-9 (usually the taller girl is the "butch" one) slim mostly femme WLW couples so they appeal to the most range of ppl. I wouldn't mind seeing more butch representation, but as this is a G4P industry (for the most part) I can't imagine they see a market for parings that wont entice a het male at some point. So all we gonna get is the soft butch/androgynous Bette/Cathy DeBuono style of lesbian depiction.
