It seems this is another mainland Chinese production pretending to be from Taiwan (or Thailand or Singapore etc) in order to get around censorship, following the recent wave of mainland BL's doing the same.

Rela's miniseries and movies on their YouTube channel have always featured mainland actresses, and given the accents in the trailer, I think this one is no exception.

I think The L relocated to taiwan, as their socials (except for youtube) seemingly all got restarted as The L Taiwan in 2024. But otherwise, yes, exactly this. And this production also features mainland cast and crew according to Douqi.

Taiwanese GL drama "Second Take" starts airing on July 9th, with 2 episodes being released a week (once on Wednesday and once on Saturday). It is believed to be releasing on The L's youtube channel.

This drama centers around ex girlfriends who both work in the entertainment industry and are now forced to work together. Yize (played by Xing En) works as a director and is known to be rather cold and introverted as an INTJ. Meanwhile, her ex, Zong Xia (played by Ada Chow -potential MDL page here?) is an actress, known for her sunshiney ENFP personality. Can these opposites make a second chance work in this "journey of restrained desire, missed timing & slow-burn intimacy"?

It is produced by The L Taiwan (Previously known as The L and as Rela) is a company that used to operate in mainland China. It's a lesbian dating app that has also produced several censored and uncensored GL productions (The Girls on Rela; Red Devil and Heroine Su; The L Bang; X-Love; The Female Doctor and the Rabbit 2).

Considering the cast and crew all appear to be from Mainland China, which is also where The L originates (until approx. Nov 2024ish?), this appears to be a strategy to bypass Chinese censorship. As such, it might feel more mainland Chinese in style than most other currently out Taiwanese GLs.
