Ryn:
But wow just watched all the GL trailers and it's looking good :). Except 'Her'. I'm not sure about that plot. Like is she possessed by his ghost or is it more of a transformation situation? Either way... idk if I'm a fan.

I'm not a fan of that one, clearly. They should have kept it to all women. Why involve a man in a GL plot is beyond me.

Anyway, this is why I said we got 7.5 GLs instead of 8.

That and, I cannot wait for EmiBonnie GL and JanhaePloy and MilkLove.

I did not understand some things from the trailers but since they're just that, trailers, I think it's best to be ignored until we get the actual series. Although unfortunately in "Her" case, that won't change much of that atrocious plot.

I'm also glad I won bingo 4 times (yay!) and got to sit still for 5+ hours, watching a screen. :/

 Soljiwan:
Yeah...I'm not a fan of that one honestly. I wish they choose a transgender actresses. Also, I didn't like that they used the main character transitioning as a plot device for revenge. I felt super uncomfortable.

Well, all the transgenders are super old tho, like ancient. If we count Golf and Godji and whomever.

 Ryn:
Oh so it is a transitioning thing, not a ghost thing... that is very unfortunate. I hope they still change a bunch of things about that plot, because presenting transitioning as a thing a man with bad intentions does in order to trick an unknowing lesbian into a romantic relationship is... Real Bad.

I would like more transfemme main characters but not like this lol.

I don't see them hiring actual trans people tho. And do they even have LGB people among their team of actors and actresses? I know Namtan said something about herself being bi, so did Milk. Anyone else?

Well I also suspect Gun is gay, but don't quote me on that. I think we'll see all of them settled into their families in like 5 to 10 years, at least the actors and actresses who are well established. And if they're not at GMMTV anymore (either because they're too old for BL/GL or they'd rather do something else), well, kudoes to them. GMMTV is not that good of a company anyway.

Okay so I decided to do this, too. Just in case I forget to do it later.
Here are my GMMTV 2026 wants and dislikes.

Turns out I want to see 15 series, 3 maybes. Then there are 18 no's.
Only time will tell if I truly want to see all of these.

I'm SUPER excited for Enemies with Benefits! A big fan of Jan so I'm excited to see her working w JingJing and I was so happy to see KapookCiize even though I was really hoping for them to have their own series. Come on gmmtv!!

From what I've seen a ton of GL actresses have said they were not straight, but idk how many of those were from GMMTV specifically. Maybe Ciize and View? Idk don't remember. BL actors are also increasingly open about this in general. Not to mention the behind the scenes crew which is also largely not straight. But I'm not going to dig up listicles.

Paper Peerada, Yoshi Rinrada Thurapan and Rock Kwanlada Rungrojampa would all have been suitable trans candidates in terms of acting experience and in terms of the conventional attractiveness that GMMTV definitely looks for in its actresses. But personally I would actually also really like Godji and Golf Kittipat as a ship together. Though I understand that GMMTV wouldn't take that marketing risk given that they're both in their early 40's (but I kinda like that because I would like a more diverse age range). They were already a side couple in 23,5 and they are both still GMMTV actresses, so there's not zero hope. Jennie Panhan is another trans GMMTV actress who has featured as part of side couples before.

They made a statement/post saying that thats not the reason for the transition but they cant say more because of spoilers.

still wish they wouldve used this as a chance to lift of transgender actresses though.

I just finished "I Am Devil Season 2" . In terms of quality, its very similar to Season 1. ... which means it is quite a low budget, amateur production.  It is watchable, but I suggest you only watch it if you're a hard core GL fan. For everyone else, there are plenty of better dramas (GL or otherwise) you can watch.

Does anyone know where to watch Futari Escape with english subs ? I found the first episode but I'm not able to find the rest.

 chirisu:

This is my completed bingo for this year. I got almost all the pieces right and I couldn't have done so without the help of GMMTV itself. Since they added so many series this year, everyone had something.

See you next year and until then I AM SO GOING TO WATCH ALL THE GLs <3

we need a GL bingo!!

 G xx:
we need a GL bingo!!

Ooooh. Yessss

I dont know how far they have gotten:

Lonely Subber is doing a valiant job of creating subtitle files on D-O. There's also the tumblr subber Isaksbestpillow working on the project (though i personally haven't vetted them, so proceed with caution)

If i may have your attention for the latest, and lengthy, Thai GL Recap? Hehehe

GMMTV (Us; 23.5; Whale Store; upcoming Girl Rules) announced 8 new GL series for their 2026 line up and released pilot trailers:

  • Ditto [Pilot]: Starring Milk and Love (23.5; Whale Store) as name twins (having the same name) who work in very different professions - ballerina and flight attendant. From the author Zezeho (Reverse 4 You; Reverse With Me; Like a Palatte).
  • Bake Love Feelings [Pilot]: Starring View and Mim (Us) as a lawyer and the bakery owner who comes to her with legal trouble. The novel is by Snow Leopard where it takes place in the same storyworld as "Whale Store" and "Enemies With Benefits." In fact, the Whale Store drama adaptation hinted at this continuation. However, the shared character Noey was recasted from Piploy to View.
  • Wish Upon a Star [Pilot]: It will be starring new pair Fond (Cheese Sisters) and Pahn (My Love Mix-Up; Leap Day) and appears to be a time traveling original series - directed by Au (My School President; Bad Buddy) and screenwritten by Nichaphat (23.5; Us; Love Design).
  • Love's Echoes [Pilot]: June and Mewnich's (Whale Store) new series - another seemingly original production centered around a hearing-impaired female lead. Fingers crossed for some more good disability rep! Though it is directed by Pear (Pee Nak; The Tuxedo), so time will tell how she approaches this tone of story.
  • Her [Pilot]: Perhaps GMMTV's most controversial pilot? I do believe that the series with the most conversation surrounding it from the 2026 line up is this drama. Why? Because the main character may or may not have transitioned to a woman to aid in her revenge. I say "may or may not" because the trailer and initial statements all said that that was the reason, but after initial call-outs, follow-up posts have said that it wasn't the reason but that it would be giving away spoilers to clarify any further. Regardless though, this story has brought forward many conversations about trans stereotypes in media, trans prejudice and stereotypes out in the world, transness in Thailand, visibility of trans talents in main roles in media, the availability of trans talents - some of which are signed with GMMTV, documented/recorded transphobia in GMMTV, the suitability of Namtan - a ciswoman who reportedly said transphobic statements in the past - to play this role, the understanding or lackthereof of the trans experience as shown in the pilot, and more.
  • Enemies with Benefits [Pilot]: With a self-explanatory title, this other piece of Snow Leopard's Whale Store/Bake Love Feelings universe sets us up with crossover characters and stars Jan (Warp Effect) and Jingjing (App War; Hide and Sis). Although they are a new ship, they were teased as a pairing in their shared episode of "MuTeLuv."
  • Moon Shadow [Pilot]: This Flower of Memory (Remain; My Only Sunshine) adaptation comes to life with stars Emi and Bonnie (Us), whose characters have a one night stand that becomes more, with the added complexity of secrets in the midst.
  • Oxytoxin [Pilot]: In a series being compared to "Boys Over Flowers", NewJean's Ditto music video, and upcoming GL "Shades", we see the premiere of 5 rookie actresses as mains. So far, only 2 of the 5 have other credits listed on their MDL pages - but who knows what might be uncovered in the time before this airs.
