Chinese Lesbian dating show "LeLaLes: Fluid Love" starts today.

I'm really looking forward to this show. I'm hoping and expecting it to be better than both "To Get Her" and "Heroine: Les Fall in HERoine".

I just watched the first episode and I loved it.

I went to go watch it and the YouTube recommendations to the side showed me this:

A Taiwanese lesbian dating reality show that started airing 5 months ago. I was not aware this was a thing, and searching for both the English and Chinese name on MDL right now, I think it doesn't have a page yet. Has anyone else heard of this one before?

I didn't know this show existed. I'll definitely be checking it out. I'll add a MDL page for it as well.

It looks like Season 1 ended in February, and Season 2 has just started.

I've just watched the first episode, and it is really good. Its very long and also dialogue heavy, so I watched it over two days. It is much, much better than "Les Fall in HERoine", which is the other Taiwanese Lesbian dating show I've seen.

My drama update for the week.

Shades: there is no way they ended it there! 😲 Everything about this drama was just perfect. I loved seeing the different families and their relationship with their daughters. I loved the friendships, the backstabbing, the standing up against those that backstab, and the romantic entanglements. As someone who normally hates school setting dramas, this is the exception. The cast was top tier. I can’t express how much this random watch ended up being the black horse for me. But I need a season 2 right now. This has been my absolute favorite of the year so far.

Hometown Romance: It has officially ended! To be honest, the first half of this drama is absolute perfection πŸ‘Œ but I feel the end is not as smooth of a landing as the take off was. Overall, still absolutely enjoyed this drama.

The Way Back To You: This was a cute watch, but also kind of forgettable. πŸ˜… To be honest, I barely remember all of it since I finished it at the beginning of this week. I do remember there was nothing to complain about, but also nothing stands out.

Fulfill: Finally, something positive to say. Episode 5 was actually the best episode so far. I like where this is heading I just wish this drama had started better. So far, still a 6 for me but has potential to move to 7 or 7.5 if it can end good.

The Air: Two episodes in and yessssss!! This is already my favorite of the 4 Elements series. I'm having a blast with this one. Action, usurper plot, a few moments of well timed comedy, and that natural, gradual attraction happening. πŸ₯° I'm literally dieing with how much I'm loving this. I hope it stays this good!

Apparently they have officially announced that there are another 6 episodes coming.

Oh thank you! And yes πŸ™Œ this drama deserves a full 12.

I've just finished "The Water" and I quite enjoyed this drama. The story was interesting and the production quality was very good. Sure, there were things I thought could have been done better or differently, but overall I did like it.

I want to also compliment both Engfa Waraha and Charlotte Austin for their growth as actors. I first saw them in "Show Me Love" in which their acting was a little wooden, reflecting their inexperience. In the last four years, both have developed into quite competent actors.

I know! Englot's chemistry in this drama was really good. I'd only previously seen them in Petrichor so I was worried because I felt they didn't really do well as romantic partners in that drama. This proved me wrong. Can't wait to see more of them in the future.

I just binged "Shadow of Love", which is easy due to the very short episodes.

This plot had potential, but the writing wasn't great. The pacing was inconsistent and there were several plot holes big enough to fly the Death Star through. The production quality was generally good, but there were some sound issues in the earlier episodes.
The acting from the actors playing the main characters was OK, especially considering they were inexperienced rookie actors. The main villain (Ran's Mother) was a bit of a two dimensional character and the actress playing her overacted in almost every scene.
Having just pointed out all of those negatives, I still enjoyed the drama and I would still recommend it to fans of GL dramas. Just remember to switch off your brain and keep your expectations low, and you'll probably enjoy it.
I should mention one positive regarding this drama. The lead actresses have excellent chemistry and their kissing scenes might be the best I've seen in a Thai GL.

πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰DENIED LOVE... Happy 1st anniversary to my favorite GL!πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
To this series that to this day is my Roman empire!
For the first artists I became a fan of in my entire life.

YouTube decided to recommend two more Chinese wlw dating reality shows all of a sudden haha. Neither show appears to have an MDL page yet.

LeLaLes' statement that they are the first Mainland Chinese wlw dating show is suddenly very far from true haha! If we go by when they started airing, they're third. Based on accents and simplified characters on screen, these are both 100% definitely Mainland Chinese.

^This one is about actresses picking GL acting partners. I really like this one so far :)

^This one is incredibly overstimulating. They should hire a different editor and re-edit the whole thing. Or maybe it's just me and other people love it, idk.

Wait, one more! Chinese American:

I guess everyone had the same idea at the same time? 'Hey there's no Chinese lesbian dating show yet, we should be the first.'

Thank you for finding these shows. I will definitely be watching all of them. I will submit a MDL page for any of these that don't yet have one.

I'm currently watching "Love Girl's Dormitory" and I'm liking it a lot. It's definitely better than "Les Fall in HERoine"

The same with that one chinese GL drama claiming to be the first. People are dropping β€œfirst” claims without fact checking.

But yea, a few chinese lesbian dating and β€œfriendship” shows have been coming out lately. Most of them (if not all) on YouTube too. Which is really cool. Im looking forward to tackling my backlog next time im in a reality show mood. ;)
