Hello!

Chasing Love review

Overall 5.5

This is a classic case of chase someone until they cave in and we didn't get to see them having couple moments with each other.

I don't think Song was ready and in the right headspace for a relationship quite yet due to the trauma of her sister's suicide and how that affected her. Her actions at some points were actually disgusting like kissing her friend to try throw Piang off, throwing the cupcakes in the trash and other actions. However, I did adore her relationship with her grandmother as they are close and generally love each other.

Piang. I do believe that she was abused by her grandmother. Her grandmother is extremely controlling of how she can represent and who she can be in a relationship with even talking to Song to not associate with Piang at all. I feel like she is more sensitive than she looks as conflicts really destroyed her but I never liked her personality.

I actually like the second couple but am still confused on why they broke up in EP7

@Unique_rain

You hit the nail on the head with your review of Chasing Love and everything that irritated me about it. I'm glad we are on the same page about the second couple too. I still don't understand the reasoning behind the breakup either. So she didn't want her girlfriend to fight with her grandmother about getting to live her own life her way, and her solution was to make her girlfriend feel even more like crap by breaking up and once again it's all in the name of protecting the other person. 🤦‍♀️

Also I really didn't like after all that emotional trauma, the grandmother just said 'guess I'll start letting you girls make your own choices' and that was the resolution. I know it's a cultural situation, but it's so hard to except. Same thing happened in Be My Angel too and I get so frustrated.
