Juliet and Juliet is almost here and it's looking GOOD

Hello! Hope everyone has been doing good. I still have a lot going on so this is just me stopping in to prove I'm still alive 😁

Stuff I watched

Verticals (I'm making a GL vertical master list here)

Thrilling Blind Date: Nothing special about it, just an average GL with work place homophobic themes.

Love Me Against The Night: I have a chinese vertical obsession and this is the trash I love to watch. Is it entertaining? ✅️ Did I enjoy it? ✅️ Is it good? ❎️

Youtube Shorts

Kiss The Hater: the ending was a bit rushed, but this was good.

General, Can I Sleep with You?: First comment hit the nail on the head, how can a 4 min video be better than most hour long episodic dramas.

Dramas

AI Girl: I liked this drama mainly for the chemistry between the leads and my beautiful Aya Orapan Phongmaykin. However, it has a superficial plot were nothing important really happens overall. I foresee more dramas of this theme in the future but probably taken in a more negative light as rl technology advances.

In Love Forever: You know, I don't dislike this drama as I've had fun raging at the MIL, but I'm really nervous about how they attend to end this.

Moonshadow: I didnt like the first episode but the second episode today had renewed my anticipation.

The Fire: I'm going to finish it, but that's about it.

I've watched heaps of Dramas that were mediocre or worse, and still enjoyed them. Some I even enjoyed more because they were terrible, because it accidently introduced unintended comedy into the drama.

Very true about the unintended comedy. There's a classic American movie called Samurai Cop that is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, but I have never laughed so hard at a watch party until then. 😆

Any of yours a GL that comes to mind? If its a reasonable length I think I can fit it in.

In terms of GL, some of the early microdramas from H'our (https://www.youtube.com/@hourchannell) might fit into that category. But mostly it is individual scenes from dramas that extract a giggle and sometimes an eye-roll from me. For example, every time I see in a drama where one lead character trips and falls directly onto the other lead character and their lips just happen to connect - and then of course they both just lie there motionless for 10 to 15 seconds before separating slightly flustered. That scene is ALWAYS terrible, but I laugh every time.

Moonshadow ep2

I liked episode 1 better. Episode 2 was all slow looks and almost kisses. The chemistry was carrying the episode. Emi and Bonnie work well together, but it wasn’t enough. I knew what was coming with Film’s character. It was obvious she was the ex coming to get her woman back. I think the whole episode could have easily fit into half the time. I got bored with the slow pace.

My favorite scene was Bonnie playing the guitar and singing that beautiful song. I also liked Emi kissing Bonnie’s tattoo. 😉❤️

When you said you got bored at the slow pace, I was so confused because the episode moved pretty quickly for me. Then I remembered I watched in on 2x 😂 So yeah, you would be correct, the episode indeed worked better in half the time. 🤭

I want to join!!

I was watching My Lady's Bodyguard when the trip and fall on you face happened and I had a giggle fit thinking of you also laughing at it. 😆

But seriously, as someone accident prone, I've tripped over a person on the ground (I forgot they were there 😅) and it hurts. Thankfully my face landed in their armpit because I pretty sure I would have broken my nose otherwise.

It's the chipped teeth I'd be most concerned about if it really happened.

@Star great list, I didn't think we had enough gl verticals to compile one. Do add Beneath the moon's Shadow, Tendering resignation and The white angel with no wings

And the bloody lips. Maybe even a bitten tongue from the shock. 😰

I'm currently making banners/badges but have a question. Do I add the "gl drama club" myself or does someone else/it automatically go onto the badge?
