Can someone explain why my ratings are not being added to the overall rating of all users?

I rated and gave points to many movies, but my rating is not included in the average, and the number of rating users is not updated.

From what I understand based on Admin replies on several discussion threads some time ago:

  • The overall ratings will not update in real time (expect some delays but not sure how long)
  • The mechanic behind the rating calculation is mystery (to avoid manipulation)
  • New users may have some restriction
  • The ratings from reviews and episode guide are not counted
