Is it me or anyone else think TVB uses same old lead actors over and over again. On the men, if its not Moses Chan, its Ruco or Ron or Bosco or Michael Miu for an ex police gone off the rails character.  On females they dont even have any , last person maybe Nancy Wu or Elaine Yiu . Otherwise they have to do a collaboration with China and use the likes of Charmaine Sheh .

All the actors mentioned so far like mid 40s if not 54 like Moses Chan, come on TVB the guy same age as you almost and losing his hair and had a horrible hair transplant to try cover it up.

There are plenty of good younger actors that not given a chance .. Mark Na should be promoted more , Karl Ting , Arnold Kwok , Chow Kalok, Brian Chu amd Ricco Ng .  I think even Owen Cheung is getting to point of his expiry date soon . . On the girls side , definitely Joey Thye , Moon Lau , Jeannie Chan, Rosita Kwok and Yuki Law and Regina Ho.  One of the most under rated is Nicole Wan but she might be getting older now.

This is not to say the older actors are not good but they need to play more age appropriate roles and give the younger generation more chances to lead.

This is why TVB is just not what it used to be , the golden age of 80s 90s drama where the series with good writing and theme made the actor / actresses famous now Eric Tsang accepts any old script with 3 main themes of Police / Hospital / Law and other forgettable themes and put a well known name it .
