What you're proposing is foreigners privileging their inside joke over a country's broader culture. It may appeal to many - the majority of western BL and GL fans barely register that there's more to Thailand than meeting their desire to see same-sex snogs from actors or actresses after all. But can't you step back for just a moment to consider how this sounds to others?
Thailand has terms already - Y-series, Y-girl (sao y), some others. Appropriating another word because it amuses you and you don't know broader context, I don't know, maybe that's what you want to do.
I know to keep my expectations low that this will be heard, but at least it's here in the thread. Maybe it is the best term for westerners who don't care about the rest of Thailand's culture.
