Hello MDLers,

I was wondering if anyone has had experience getting harassed from another community member because they didn't agree with a review you wrote? I'm getting harassed from someone who is stating my review was deceptive. I have pointed out that the review was merely my opinion and it's okay to disagree, but this person continues to say I deceived the public. I told them to leave me alone.

Any thoughts? Any advice? Thanks!

You can't make everyone happy, but you can make yourself happy. Tell him/her to just move on and ignore him/her completely after that. And just listen to Mrs. Green Apple's Dance Hall.

Thanks, and that's good advice. Which I did, but this person keeps posting on the review and has even threatened to report me to MDL for deception to the public. They are demanding I change my review. I've had comments before where people disagreed with my reviews, but this seems different. It feels more like harassment.

Love the video!!!

(I have not read your review or the comments inquestion, so I don't know what kind of "harrassing" occurred nor how you reacted to it. But here are some general thoughts)

As a stopgap measure, you can disallow comments on your reviews. If you go into editing mode, there's a box you can tick right under the review. However, that prevents everybody from leaving comments on this review.

Blocking could be another option, but I'm not sure if the blocked user can still see your reviews. (Used to be that they could.) But, yeah, that is what a block button is for.

If you are 100% sure that the other user violated the TOS, you could try to report them via e-mail.

Ignoring the user like autumn iris advised is also always an option -- if they are bored they'll move on to the next issue.
