Nanda teme wa? You hear that a lot in Yakuza / Yankee themes

I'm currently watching Dou Suru and their favorite expression in the drama is AHOTAWAKE...LoL

Mine are:

  • 本当  Honto  = Really
  • なんで  Nande  = Why
  • そうだね  Sodane = That’s right, or I agree
  • 頑張って Ganbatte = Good Luck, or Do your best

LOL The Japanese only Gen-Z understood

Naruhodo, soka, wakarimashita, wakatta, hai.

Good Japanese VS Gangster Japanese

ahoyade, kawaii, honmayana

なんでよ -  Nande yo (meaning "why" but more demanding/ aggressive/ exclamatory lol)

ちょと 待って - Cho to matte (wait a minute/ wait a little)/  待って待って待って -  matte, matte, matte (wait, wait, wait)

バカ ウザイ -  Baka uzai (stupid and annoy/ stupid dumb@$$, don't typically see it used much but was one of the first japanese insults I learned)

死ね  - shine/ shin (die/ go die)

ですか - Desu ka (are you?/ is it? I usually see it in the context of "are you for real/ being serious")

本当に - Hontoni (really?)

俺 - Ore/  私 - Watashi (both mean "I")

additionally, it barely counts but I love the honorific "-kun"

Gohobi: "Reward, Prize, Gift" IDK, I love the way this sounds lmao, and it's such a cute word to me, I typically here it in a wanting manner in dramas, like "I did well, I want a reward pls!"

Tabetai: "I want to eat" This word I hear in a few JPOP songs as adlib, the word sounds so cute to me as well.

Imooto to otooto: "Younger sister and younger brother" This is a quote from the drama Eternal Yesterday ep 1, the similar sounds again, sound cute to me, even tho it's a basic phrase.

Doke Doke is very popular among cops as well.
