As the title says :-)

Me personally, I'm currently watching Summer Strike. Only about half way through, but it's already one of my all-time favorites. Feels like it was made for me. I love the characters, and the themes of found-family.

I recently transitioned from watching two episodes of 'Good Partner' to 'Beyond the Bar' and enjoyed the change. Although both shows fall within a similar genre, the former seems to cater to a different gendered audience than the latter. I found 'Good Partner' irritating and insulting, while I quite liked 'Beyond the Bar.'

Having taken cinema critique writing courses, studied advanced psychology as an undergraduate, and worked in the film industry, I tend to analyze TV series and their objectives critically. If I were still earning a great salary, I could force myself to endure uninteresting series.

What intrigues me is why female viewers might gravitate toward the slice-of-life subgenre. Don't most of them typically prefer various romance subgenres?
