Welcome! :) for ther 2nd time

Sorry for intruding,

I think CIG may refer to Takeru Satoh's drama First Love: Hatsukoi which is undoubtly popular (seems like it even reached #1 on netflix back then) but I haven't watch it.

For Japanese drama, professional drama like Hanzawa Naoki (credit analyst), Ie Uru Onna (property agent), and Radiation House (radiologist) may attract you since they deal with various problems like irl but more dramatic. I myself love all three but I haven't watch any of their sequels.

And last year my colleague, my bff's husband, and the otaku husband of my cousin really like One Piece (US and Japan collaboration live-action drama), seems like it's a masterpiece. And Shogun (similarly a collab?) seems to be widely popular. Maybe you will find them interesting since they're being made targeting international viewers. I ptw them in the near future for drama watch challenge.

You may watch the trailers to give you some insight.

You are not intruding. It actually helps me figure out which show it is. I really want to keep up with everyone but it's really hard. As much as I want to watch the newest shows, I can't.  I'm a binge watcher, so I hate waiting for the next episode.  At the same time though, here I am watching older shows, and I feel like I'm late to the party if that makes sense.

Out of all of these, I think One Piece and Shogun is the most I hear out of people I've talked to. I'm a little hesitant anytime there is a live action involved.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't know how to comment since I previously haven't watch them.

I'm currently watching Shogun. It's pretty good but I have a hard time remembering the faces of reccuring characters. So started from the middle until the end of episode 6, I open google a few times to better understand the story.

But I think One Piece is much more relaxing to watch. It's fun and there's cute Mackenyu. It also has less nudity/sex scene, and less one-sided violence/cruelty (there are two cruel scenes until episode 6; a man being boiled to death while slowly losing his original shape and life, and a man being cannoned until bloody, losing his limbs and then being beheaded).

Maybe you already watch them?
