hi everyone! my name is gabe and i'm in my late 20s. i'm a longtime lurker of MDL, but finally made an account. i've been watching dramas for a few years now. i mostly watch korean, chinese, and thai dramas, but occasionally japanese and taiwanese dramas too. according to MDL my top 5 genres are romance, drama, comedy, mystery, and youth/life. and probably around or a little under half the shows i watch are LGBTQ, mostly thai BLs. my profile includes  some of my top shows from each country!

i'm currently watching my dear nemesis, secret relationships, perfect 10 liners, my golden blood, undercover high school, and first frost.

i also enjoy listening to kpop and playing nintendo video games so always down to talk about that too.

what's been a show you are currently watching or recently completed that you like?

i've been enjoying Secret Relationship! it's fun seeing Junseo from WEi act as Jung Daon, i think he's doing a great job. it's definitely a toxic and messy show but it's so interesting with all the twists.

i'm a little over half way through First Frost and am also liking it alot! Sang Yan is such a great character. i feel like with Wen Yi Yan she has a lot of traumas from her family and school situations that's influenced her personality, which can be frustrating but more realistic.

i've heard about Filter! I'm glad you enjoy the FL she sounds like a great character. Tan Jian Ci who plays the ML is such an awesome actor too. i may check that one out.

very nice! i don't watch the variety/talk shows but i enjoy listening to shinee, exo, monsta x, got7, wayv, nct u, and nct 127. i used to listen to seventeen and bts, but don't really anymore. i do enjoy some of ateez's songs! i like work, crazy form, selfish waltz, bouncy, the real, deja vu, inception, etc. i have been interested in checking out infinite! my favorite kpop songs lately have been got7's python, aespa's whiplash, and baekhyun's (from exo) pineapple slice. :)

Oh yeah he's an idol. I don't know them though. It's indeed interesting. I consider reading the manhwa/webtoon. But I'm currently reading a novel.

Yeah I know Wen Yi Fan is being gaslighted and have abandonment issue but it's depressing watching her.

Tan Jian Ci is great indeed. I saw him different light in Filter. He's so cute and foolish there. ^^

I listened to a lot of SME idol groups but less of WayV. But I love 'Love Talk.' I don't remember The Real, will listen to it. Crazy Form is my 2024 youtube recap #1, I'm so addicted to it. Who's your favorite member? I like SAN, he's so cute. Seonghwa has this duality that's interesting. And Jongho's voice is beautiful.

I used to be an ARMY before BTS commercialized their music started with Blood, Sweat, and Tears. My favorite BTS' song was Danger, Run, and One Day (Haruman, not One Spring Day). Though I still listen to Jungkook's songs because I really like his voice color. I actually also lose interest on SVT at some points in the past but I get back to them because of Mingyu. I really like HOT and Dar+ling.

I only know Shownu and Hyungwon from variety shows. And Hyungwon is in Boss-dol Mart with Xiumin. He's friends with Jeonghan too. Infinite has new release which I already put in my playlist but I forget to listen to it. So I recommend their previous song Time Difference. Bad, Back, The Chaser, Destiny, and BTD are also great. Their songs is very addictive. While trying to remember the titles, I could even remember the lyrics. Phyton is good but from the same album, I prefer Out The Door. Whiplash is great, aespa is great. I will listen to Pineapple Slice since I forgot whether I ever listened to it or not.

so many great kpop picks! i enjoy some of stray kid's music. some of my favorite songs from them are topline, super bowl, freeze, the view, thunderous, taste, the tortise and the hare, and n/s. hoping for another monsta x comeback soon 🙏

so glad you enjoy those BLs as well! :') each are so unique! i think Not Me was my first or second thai BL and i adored it.

i've only listened to some of Jungkook and J-hope's solo songs, but i'll check out the ones you recommend too. i feel like the fan culture around BTS has really turned me away from the group, on top of their commercialization in recent years. J-hope was always my fave of the group so i sorta stay up to date on his activities.

i've only seen Jeff Satur in KinnPorsche so far, but i've been meaning to check out his music! what songs would you recommend by him?

totally understand that! some of her behavior can be tough to watch :(

aww that's great to see that side of him! :') i really enjoyed him in Love Me, Love My Voice where he shows a softer side and then in Under the Skin where he shows a more complex and obsessive side.

i'd say my favorite members are Jongho and San~ Jongho is such a talented singer and San's dancing is so incredible. though i definitely appreciate Seonghwa's versatility!

i feel the same way! i think Wings was the last album i really enjoyed from them. i do hope Jungkook continues to have a successful solo career he's a great singer. HOT is one of my favorites by SVT! i also like Left and Right a lot. 

shownu and hyungwon's mini album was so good! Slow Dance would be my favorite from that album. thank you for the Infinite song recs i'll check those out! :)

I like soooo many SKZ songs it's hard for me to pick, so some that are on my perm playlist are:

Chronosaurus, Walkin On Water, Aiwokuretanoninaze, MegaVerse, Slump, Back Door, Secret Secret and Red Lights. TBH, I love almost all of their songs and solos. It's so easy to be their fan! lol.

I have to admit I have never listened to much of BTS's music. I don't easily follow things that are considered the most popular or famous. And I agree, part of the fandom doesn't sound very appealing. I've been a SKZ fan for 5 years and watched them grow and become  more well known. I'm going to their concert for a second time.

I like most of Jeff' songs and have been a fan since his drama Ingredients, with Barcode in 2020. My fav songs are Almost Over You, Hide, Why Don't You Stay (KinnPorsche OST), Moments (Ingredients OST), Stranger, Rain Wedding and Ride or Die.

Yes, it's great; the most memorable part in God's Menu is Felix's line: .... I'm a five star michelin. At first I think it was intentional but apparently Bang Chan didn't know it before. What a cutie. There's also Haven. Together with Blueprint, both songs suit my taste the most.

I also like Time Difference the most. And I used to sing Back, Destiny, and The Chaser a lot in the karaoke. There's also Tears. It's a beautiful ballad.

I've listened to Melodrama. It's great. Thank you for recommending it.
