I'm a Chinese (Mandarin) learner and I'm watching C-Dramas to practice my listening skills. I'd love to get good recommendations! I'm a total newbie in Chinese spaces! Nice to meet you all!

I love C-drama and C-movie; I check mydramalist, dramawiki, youtube, koalasplayground, dramapanda, and douban to know the latest news. And ask some friends and cousins too for completed series.

From what I completed in 2025 (checking my 2025 - 52 Week Drama Challenge, it helps summarize your watchlist if you're interesting), I like (only put what i rated 9-10):

And from what I currently watching, Live Surgery Room is very interesting. It's about interventional surgery department.

Maybe try Reset. It's a time loop drama so I imagine some of the vocabulary will be easier to pick up since the story naturally will rely on some repetition. It's also a genuinely engaging storyline that is fun to watch!

I find that stories that have a really strong theme with a set of key words are the easiest to pick up vocabulary with. Never know which ones those will be until I watch them though. But one of the most common themes across countries is probably butterflies, making it an easier word to learn through drama watching. Flourished Peony is a good example though because it has really strong themes of business, flowers, and especially peony flowers, making it easier to pick up vocabulary related to these themes.

Good luck and have fun!

oh sry, i am have not seen many c-drama. But i'd some recommendations
