Hi, new to this kind of media

Hello! Decided to finally try and get into more live-action stuff. I kind of need a change of pace, as I've been watching almost nothing but anime for the past couple years. Would love some friends or recommendations! My favourite kinds of shows are those that have complex plots that rely a lot on symbolism or psychology. The genre doesn't much matter beyond this, though I can also enjoy the odd light-hearted show. 

Speaking of light-hearted... I'm currently watching Aquarium Girl and it's actually really nice, much better than expected! Has anyone here watched it also? Or anything similar?

Big World (C-movie promoting self-independence)

Go Ahead (same idea with And So the Baton is Passed)

Homestay (Thai movie about second chance and the inportance of not having prejudice iirc)

Justifiable Defense (C-drama same idea but different route and more complex than Better Days)

Like Father, Like Son (J-movie with the same idea with And So the Baton is Passed but through different road)

Move to Heaven (K-drama about a company that take care the belongings of dead people)

Time Still Turns the Pages (HK-movie about ptsd, kinda)

YOLO (C-movie that entered worldwide top 10 highest grossing last year, promoting self-acceptance)

It's a police procedural, but one of the main characters is a troubled police sketch artist, who also teaches art history.  So it's  a mix of art, psychology, profiling, crime solving with an over reaching arc of an old case that causes strife in police station.
