Heart-wrenching, but beautifully executed film. There is a reason this is rated so highly here on MDL and in general.

If Cats Disappeared From The World  last night, was absolutely fantastic. A genuine Japanese arthouse film that will have you thinking for several days. Of course, anything Satoh Takeru does is excellent. He seems to choose his scripts with great consideration and care.

Nemesis: The Mystery of the Golden Spiral and do unto others

Even If This Love Disappears From the World Tonight.

It's not technically the last Japanese movie I watched but it's one of the very recent, and definitely the one that left a lasting impression on me.
