Hi there. I’d like to join please. I pretty much joined to record all Japanese shows and movies I watch or want to watch. Not sure how else to interact here. Always looking for ideas. I love all parts of shows and old ones. Currently binging through Botan to bara on Hulu Japan before it is removed at the end of twitch month. It’s really juicy and trash but I love it. Easy watching in 20 minutes format too. Rather addictive. 

“Mother” is probably one of my favourite dramas. A real classic that anyone who hasn’t seen should watch. The acting is outstanding and had me in tears all over again when i rewatched last year. anyway nice to meet you

So currently watching :

• Burn the House Down - Started it on a whim
• Small Fry Heroes - Really silly fun, I'm having a great time
• Tokyo Salad Bowl - I just don't want this one to end <3

So far I haven't watched a ton of Doramas, I've been watching J-movies forever but only recently realised that doramas are just a perfect fit for me. One of my absolute favorite is Midnight Diner, also one of my favorite read. The last two I completed and enjoyed were The Golden Egg and (Omg:) Shiawase Kanako no Koroshiya Seikatsu!!! And the last one I completed but did not enjoy was Queen of Mars. Any takers?

Ok, I'll stop. For now ;)

I just watched episode 6 and I loved it. Best episode yet. 

Tokyo Salad Bowl is such a gem <3

I liked it so much that I even wrote an article about it for the magazine of my professional association. I'm an interpreter too and loved seeing such a good depiction of my profession.  It's a series that makes you wish for a sequel so you can spend more time with the characters.

Shiawase Kanoko was so much fun!! Those little animals representing her inner voice? SO CUTE!!

I'm currently watching Ryakudatsu Datsukon. Everyone is a mess in that drama and I love it XD

Silent Truth is completely different from that, but reall good too. Also, who can say no to Takuchi Ryoma after 10 Dance? ;-)

That is so interesting! As I am watching I am curious about wether or not it's  an accurate portrait of the profession. It certainly looks like it, but knowing close to nothing on this matter.

And agreed about a second season (even though I haven't finish the first one) I can already tell I'll be missing these characters and the ambience the drama is able to create, it's so good.

Yes! Totally! I only wish I had a better understanding of the Japanese language because I could tell I was missing out whenever one of these cuties popped up! Except Sphinx ^^Got that one loud and clear! This was so creative! Also loved the heads blowing up and exploding into a confetti mess. The visuals were fun and interesting. Super playful! Another gem for sure :)

• Ryakudatsu Datsukon - It looks super extra! I love your description! I'll keep it in mind.
• Silent Truth - I'll try it for sure (not just for TR ;), I'm hoping to binge watch.
• Also: The Family - Is one of my next picks, I'm excited I haven't been able to watch older dorama.

should I say endured - Kimi to Sekai ga Owaru Hi ni

I managed to avoid this one because I read one comment saying that Takeuchi Ryoma went to starring in a bad zombie drama right after he was being paised for his acting in Overprotected Kahoko and Theseus no Fune. But it's not actually a bad deal since it's multi season drama. ^^
