To me Gu Family was a pleasant watch. Though there were times when the plot got, as someone here described it, "cluttered", I thought this drama exceeded my expectations. I still think for me, the first two episodes of guhmio Appa and kang chi's mother's were the best episodes. The love story was so gut wrenching, powerful and tragic that I didn't want it to end. Even the episode where they unite and say their farewells to each other, brought back that emotional pull that had me invested in the first place. Not saying that Kang Chi's and Yeo Wol's love story wasn't as appealing, but that first love story was just everything for me. Gu Family Book certainly had it's good moments and it's...wtf moments. I was quite surprised with how they ended it. Though I seemed happy, I felt confused and half satisfied. Either all...Gi Family Book is a nice drama to watch. I cried my eyeballs out at the last episode...ahhh.....I'll miss watching this one.

It should've been Gon and Wol Ryung in the elevator, instead of Admiral! That would be the best scene of the episode xd
I wish they had gotten an ugly guy to play Wol Ryung. All this fangirl-ing is annoying.
If there will be a second season I will watch it because of Seung Gi since he's a great actor.
Please some one tell me T_T It seems like there is going to be one, because he still hasn't found the Gu family book yet and at the end, Gon and Soon Shin visited Kang chi's house and then it just ended. That can't mean the ending! If it's been announced, or you know then please tell me... I'd be very happy if there's a Season 2.
There hasn't been any official announcement so anything you hear is just a rumour. Personally, I wouldn't mind if there isn't a second season.
oh okay thanks for letting me know! ^-^
i dont think the ending of Gu family book really mandates a season 2. the method for finding the book is laid out early on in the drama and in the 21st century it would be really easy to achieve. it is very possible that we are intended to assume that now, since he has met up with reincarnated Youl he will complete the challange and they live happily ever after as a human couple. a season two could be done and would probably be well recieved, but i dont think it is needed to complete the story. i have a feeling that there was a lot of script changing that went on during the run of that show. of course i could be completely wrong but i think alot of the story got rearranged to accomodate the viwers love of Kang Chi's parents, which could explain why there was so much in the show that never seemed to go anywhere.
I don't know... I had gotten over the initial heartbreak and disappointment of the ending but this brought it all back. Not sure if I want one or not. What if I'm just disappointed again? What if it's just horrible? :(
Guys, I hate to break it to you, but that was the ending. :-) It was simply a cute way to end the series with all the characters being reincarnated. I don't think it was ever intended to spawn a sequel at all.
