[Discussion] Spy Myung Wol

"Oppa! Ooooppa! Oppa?" <-- that part cracked me up so badly

So there seems to be more people interested in this drama than I thought! I'd say it takes at least 3 episodes to get into it, the plot is a bit confusing at first (and I must admit I had to read a detailed synopsis to get back on track) and pretty ridiculous if you look at it upclose, but it is treated in such a light-hearted way you just can't resist for the sake of watching the love blossoming between Kang Woo and Myung Wol.

The two male leads are Hotness with a H and the lead girl is drop dead gorgeous (holy frack, the evening gown she wore at the party!). I personnally have a weakness for Choe Ryu (the actor just came back from his military duty and he's put in such a role... that's a joke, ah ah!) who doesn't seem to be moved by an inch seeing his "comrade" falling for Kang Woo but I can already hear the bomb of his feelings ticking, scheduled to explode later... or not. We'll see! :D

Watched on DramaFever up to ep 5. as well. I'm loving this show. Gah, too many shows! I like the set up of this show and how it's different than other dramas out there. Sure it has some of the same cliche's; some are executed as regular drama tropes but the fun is when it's worked in as teaching Myung Wol that these behaviors are ways to seduce a man. "Oppa" is said as a way to seduce him but it's so fun that she grosses out even trying to sound it out and when she uses it on Kang Woo...doesn't work. Piggy back rides? Check! Arrogant cold lead character? Check! Budding love triange? Check! But it's all set in this 'world slightly askew' setting and I'm finding it all a hoot to watch!

Yeah, I don't know they are going to make it work from now on either...

Yeah I just watched the 6th episode earlier, and the way it leaves does make you wonder how they're going to get back to the romance part. Maybe he'll realize that he does like her and ask for her to come back? Something like that seems like it's bound to happen, something has to happen to bring them back to each other again. She can't really fail her mission either...plus it's too early in the show for that to happen.
