I think Ahjumma is wrong because if her motivation is money, that seems to be rather frivolous of a reason to change the future. I also believe Kim Shin's changes are much more due to younger Mi Rae's actions than ahjumma's.

i dont think its money, she prob made something up to cover up something
if she really is the future Mi Rae the way they think should technically be similar. She must be hiding something

Ooooh, neko dongsaeng...I like this theory...a LOT. There are some things that are suspicious.

I think she has more depth than other so-called "*****y" characters in kdramas. I feel for her when she has to suck up to PDs in order to get jobs. It hurts my heart, actually, because that is still so commonplace, even in the twenty-first century.

This. I was cringing so hard during episode 5 when she had to do the scene in the leaves. But I think the character is so likeable because of how Han Chae Ah portrays her. It's just too adorable how she tries to get Se Joos attention :o I like the "original" couples (Mi Rae and Kim Shin + Yoo Kyung and Se Joo) best anyway!
yankumicho wrote: Me too. As much as I like Se Joo, I love Kim Shin and I adore the chemistry between him and MiRae. :) Plus, I want them both to prove Ahjumma wrong.

Young Mi Rae will become that old Mi-Rae. I think If that old Mi Rae didnt come from the Future, Mi Rae will end up in same situation with old Mi Rae.
I'm currently watching this drama. The whole concept is just funny. Still looking forward for the new episodes to come. I just hope there won't be any weird twist in the story that will make me drop this one.

Yet, Ahjumma is still dead set on setting Mi Rae up with Se Joo, which to me, indicates that her intentions go beyond any change in attitude. That, to me, is an incorrect way to look at her life. Attitude adjusting is fine; financial adjusting is not.
My theory is: Future Mi Rae wants to take revenge on her husband. Somehow I have the feeling that they have(had) a daughter who dies or commits suiced. And future Mi Rae blames her husband for her death.

I don't think there is a daughter in the plot. I guess that it's for financial reason too or may be because the future Kim Shin is a bad husband so future Na Mi Rae must have had bad life. But I believe Kim Shin won't be like future Na Mi Rae's husband so NMR and KS will end together, they'll have a good life then a happy end ^^

I don't think Mi Rae will become old Mi Rae, because she has made changes to her life that old Mi Rae never did, and she has become a different person, and by changing herself, she's starting to change Kim Shin. Even if she does marry him, she won't go through the same thing that old Mi Rae went through, whatever that is. So I think Old Mi Rae will stop existing as soon as she goes back to the future, because that future won't exist anymore.

I think so too. I don't like Ahjumma, she's only interested in marrying Mi Rae to the highest bidder, and she think her life will be solved like that. And let's remember that in her past, she doesn't even know Se Joo, she has only seen him on TV. It's not like she wants Mi Rae to marry Se Joo because she regrets not choosing him over Kim Shin. She just wants her to marry him because he has a lot of money.
Besides, ajhumma doesn't care about Mi Rae growing as a person. She doesn't understand that by changing herself she is changing the future.

Interesting! I was thinking something similar. My other guess was that she might have been talking about herself. The way she spoke about her situation in the future (not even being able to cry because she constantly had to work etc.), I thought she might have been implying that he killed her "on the inside"/soul (because she did not get to live the life she wanted) rather than through physical assault. Aaaaaaaaah, I like this drama so much, it's so refreshing and interesting.

This, I wish she would realize and accept that. But maybe the moments where she fainted (like in epi 5) are an indicator that her fate has changed and thus she slowly starts to vanish?

Yup, that's why I am saying that if old Mi Rae didn't come to the past, young Mi-Rae's future would be still the same as old Mi Rae's. I thought the same too, that young Mi-Rae will be unlike old Mi-Rae in her future, since the first place old Mi Rae has been changing the situations. I think in the end old Mi-Rae will realize that Kim-Shin has changed his attitudes and young Mi-Rae will still marry him in the end.
just finished ep 7 and gotta say i'm quite confused with where the storyline is going
I just watched ep 7, I was shocked to see the reaction of Kim Shin, I wish he were not that rude to Mi-Rae.
