Jaejoong warmed the hearts of JYJ fans after he shared a screencap of his text message exchange with fellow member, Yoochun.
On February 16th, Jaejoong revealed the screencap through his Twitter under the caption: ‘Our typical, boring conversations‘.
The texts are full of affectionate messages that touch upon topics like acting and each others’ music compositions. Fans noticed that even though Yoochun is a male friend, his name was saved as “Yoochun♥” on Jaejoong’s cellphone. Jaejoong jokingly warned his fans that the conversations may induce embarrassment for the reader due to its cute nature.
Netizens responded to the post with, “You two are so affectionate” and, “I want to text with Yoochun too!”

JYJ’s Junsu Dons Blonde Look for Singles Magazine

JYJ’s Junsu attempted a striking makeover for the March issue of the Singles Magazine. The 25-year old singer/actor donned the blonde look with dark, heavy makeup to create a more mature and powerful image. The leather jacket and ripped jeans even give out a funky aura we’re not used to seeing from the sweet boy group member.
During the photoshoot, Junsu also answered from interesting questions from Singles Magazine. Here are some of the Q&A’s from the interview:
Q: You must have been happy when you first got the offer.
A: Actually, I hesitated a lot. Because the word “Death” comes with a lot of pressure. “Shouldn’t I be more charismatic? Am I too young to express this character?” Of course, I knew it was the best musical and a good role, but I first had to think if it would fit my personality. There’s a clear difference between what I can do and what I want to do. But on the other hand, I realized no one would be able to clearly define this “Death” role. “Death” could be an old man, a little kid, a sexy young man, or a fat guy. So, I wanted to express the “Death” character as close to myself as possible. After it started, I felt like this would make me take a step up as a musical actor, following my roles in “Mozart” and “Tears of Heaven.”
Q: There’s a lot of people who want to become a singer watching you. Do you have anything to tell them?
A: Do not become an idol? Korea’s idol industry is…haha.
Q: How did you feel meeting your overseas fans?
A: First of all, I was shocked. I was surprised when we had our first showcase in the U.S. but to see people in places we’ve never been to, such as Canada, Spain, Germany, sing along our songs, it was so exciting and unbelievable. Sometimes I think about giving up and just stopping everything, but they give me a lot of strength.
Q: A lot of celebrities openly date these days. Wouldn’t it be possible for your guys?
A: I think it’s possible. Honestly, I’m 27 years old – wouldn’t it be weird not to date someone? It’s not like I’m weird or have a disease. But the fans tell me, “It’s OK to date someone, but just make sure you don’t get caught.” I know what that means, because there’s a big difference between seeing and not seeing.

JYJ's Documentary "The Day" Selling Like Hot Cakes

JYJ’s documentary “The Day” had problems finding an outlet to show but now that they have overcome that hurdle, everything is gravy!
“The Day” will release in theaters in Lotte Cinema theaters on February 23. According to “KOFIC” (Korean Film Council) the reservations of movie tickets is #1 at nearly 45%. Lotte Cinema is very surprised at the current results. A representative stated, “We knew that there were a lot of JYJ fans, however we didn’t know that they would have this much influence. We are receiving calls from overseas fans as well.”
The 19 theaters that will play the documentary have all been sold out. Lotte Cinema stated, “The 1PM ticket that will have JYJ’s greeting on stage had nearly 110,000 users log on at the same time, the server almost went down. The rest of the reservations sold out within an hour.”
Currently JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment stated that they are in talks with Lotte Cinema whether to increase showings of the documentary.

According to Lotte Cinemas, servers went down around 1:00 p.m. after 110,000 people rushed to purchase tickets for JYJ’s documentary when sales windows opened. However, tickets for ‘The Day’ didn’t go on sale until 4:00 p.m.
Regardless, all 19 different screenings for the film were sold out within the first hour. In Busan, tickets were sold out within the first five minutes, setting a new record.
A Lotte Cinema representative stated, “[I]There were lines of Japanese fans waiting for tickets to go on sale since the early morning. Most films with singers sell around 30% of the tickets within the first few hours, but this film sold out completely, surprising all the employees. JYJ are definitely Hallyu stars.”
A representative from JYJ’s side stated, “We set short dates for the screening of this film because it was set out just as a special service for fans. However, because of the high demand for tickets, we may extend the dates after further discussions with Lotte Cinema.”
‘The Day’ is 90-minute film documenting the daily life of JYJ members Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu.

Kim Jaejoong takes #1 in the Celebrity Twitter Awards, Beating Justin Bieber for the 2nd Consecutive Year
JYJ member Kim Jaejoong has topped the list for the Celebrity section of the 4th Shorty Awards.
On the 23rd Kim Jaejoong topped the Celebrity section of the Shorty Awards, beating artists such as Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez. This is the 2nd consecutive year that he has won this honor.
Winners of each category, including the celebrity section which Kim Jaejoong won, will be invited to the annual Shorty Awards Ceremony in New York City in March.
The Shorty Awards are divided into 26 various categories which include health, politics, music, celebrities, etc. and are given to the people or organizations that best represented those categories on twitter.
From the finalists on the Shorty Award website, the final winner will be determined by the Twitter Real Time Academy of Short Form Arts and Sciences. Each finalist considered is evaluated by the Academy.
The New York Times has reported on these awards, saying ?As the Oscars are to Hollywood and the Tony Awards are to Broadway, so are the Shorty Awards to Twitter?
Meanwhile Kim Jaejoong and the JYJ members are gearing up to prepare for their South American tour in Chile and Peru that will take place next month.
