but I don't know how to add pictures).MountainPine:
You can only add pictures if they are hosted somewhere. You click on that third icon on the second row. The one that looks like a moon over mountains in a rectangle. If you hover on the icon, it will tell you want it does. In the pop up window, paste the link to image, then click insert.

Thank you so much for taking your time to explain it to me!

Happy to help. The site doesn't explain a lot here, so feel free to ask. I'm still trying to figure out to do a table with pictures that link to a show, like folks do for many of the yearly 'clubs.' I have too many projects and plans. lol

"It's why she knows at some level that Fang Feng Bei IS Xiang Liu, even before he admits it".
Well, that's another point I wanted to ask. But since my account is currently unable to quote long posts, I'll write it here. When Fang Feng Bei suggests half jokingly that Xiao Yao leave her position as a princess, give up all her responsibilities, and travel the world with him, it sounds logical on his part. Because she HAS A LOT to give up. But when she replies with the same... Isn't that an open declaration that she knows who he is? Will you give up everything for me? Translation: "I know you are Xiang Liu. Period. Will you leave your adopted father, your army, and your struggle for me?" Because if she's not addressing Xiang Liu, but Fang Feng Bei, then the translation would be: " Will you give up your family, who don't care about you, the gambling dens, and prostit... your girlfriends for me ?"🤣 And Bei replies with his gaze: "Leaving all this for you? Noooooooo, you are asking too much." Isn't this ridiculous? Because Bei had no responsibilities!

I think it works on both levels, for both XL and FFB. Like you said, she could have been telling him that she knew he was XL, and seeing if he would give up everything you mentioned too. An IF response. In that way, it definitely was one of those 'What If?' moments.
But in the drama, she also says out loud what FFB would have to give up for her, his carefree life without responsibility, his social status, and his alleged women. lol But for both of them, a carefree life is a major deal and something of value. Is it not what both of them desire? A life without responsibility and duty?
But since my account is currently unable to quote long posts,MountainPine:
That's not a new account restriction, it's just general MDL weirdness. We can only quote short quotes with the obvious quote button on the bottom. Otherwise, you can quote a section by highlighting, then a pop up button should show up on the top left. If not, right click on the highlighted section and it will show up. Click on that button and it should copy it into your reply.

With my little brain I still find it hard to remember what happened in the novel and what in the series. But those videos from another Ukrainian fan help a bit. There is a new episode, by the way:

(there is not many Ukrainian fans of LYF at the moment, but I am so proud of them :)

Oh, I know this account! I've watched quite a few of their FMV and this series about the differences between the novel and drama. I didn't know they were from Ukraine.
Wow! It works for me on my laptop (and it didn't work on my phone). Thank you once more for patiently explaining it to me.MountainPine:
NP. Ah, yes. I don't do anything on my phone, cause my fingers are much bigger than the keyboard and I have most of my references on the laptop. Plus, as you said, I don't think the MDL app has all the "features."
What is the foundation of YaoJing's relationship? Pity! Feelings that are not genuine!blabla100:
And it took him years to realize he actually never loved her. Eventually he cheated on her and this was one of reasons they divorced.

I am soooooooo happy that you watch that Ukrainian girl's videos! She lives in Germany at the moment, but she is Ukrainian girl. And she promises there will be much more videos about the differences and also she plans videos about other Tan Jianci's projects.
Also, if this is allowed in this discussion, I want to share a beautiful and profound Chinese fanfiction. I have no opportunity to read all the chapters 😭 because unable to register on Chinese site, and have noone in China who would send me direct links, and I suffer BADLY 💔 because of that... but chapters I have read - in my humble opinion, it's worth your time and makes you to look at the characters with a fresh look and from a different angle. If someone here have access to Chinese sites, here it is:

Wow. That's ... a mess all around. I'm not sure if pity is truly his reasoning, given he didn't divorce her before he cheated on her or when he needed her, though I do agree, it does NOT bode well for any romantic relationship based on that.

Oh, cool. I'd love to see her tackle some Tan Jian Ci's other projects too.

Hmmm. It only opened to a Lofter (whatever that is) login page for me. But yes, it is hard for us International fans, without the Chinese credentials. :( Maybe someone can access and share another link with us.
I'll also post it in the Fan Fiction topic.
@MountainPine Welcome! Good to see new faces and avid discussions still happening on the thread!
Can't really join in properly still but very quickly...
Thank you for the fanfic recommendation of which I just took a quick look at the first chapter - interesting AU premise with Xiao Yao actually returning to Jade Mountain and going back to Gao Xin, growing up with Cang Xuan and going to Qingshui Town disguised as Wen Xiao Liu to be a spy against the Shen Nong resistance army. I remember discussing with @AH some time ago about what if Xiao Yao and Xiang Liu had actually met during her time on Jade Mountain so reading about her going back to Jade Mountain had me excited for a second that someone had actually written about that premise but doesn't look like this is it. Either way, a novel alternative that I had not previously considered.
The author 山袖风棠 has 2 complete YaoLiu works - 三寸红台 "Three Inches of Red Stage" (which feels like a throwback to "Three Inches of Heaven", BBJX's OST) has 7 chapters and an epilogue while this one 执炬 "Bearing the Torch" has 55 chapters + epilogue.
You can register on the Lofter app via a Weibo or WeChat account. Have just signed up myself so I don't really know what the limitations are... will only know as and when I do read through. Hopefully this helps in some way and you get to read the fanfic in its entirety.
