Jing heals Xiaoyao? Fuck right off. He makes her worse and less capable of living independently and being happy in the future than she was before she let herself be sucked into his mess. You know who heals Xiaoyao? Xiang Liu. He's the only character in this entire story that aims to help her improve herself, become free and confident and succeeds.
This is the truth 100%. That fox and XY have a codependent relationship. These definitions fit them exactly:
A person who is codependent will plan their entire life around pleasing the other person, or the enabler. The codependent's self-esteem and self-worth will come only from sacrificing themselves for their partner, who is only too glad to receive their sacrifices.
A codependent relationship is a kind of dysfunctional relationship where one person is a caretaker, and the other person takes advantage.
I see XY being the caretaker while Jing is the one that's being taken care of. She washes and combs his hair, gives him medicine, and in the future, will be the one to protect him smh.

The Jingers will say, oh, you just don't understand. Xiaoyao is so pitiful and traumatized, her relationship with Jing is so sweet and just what she needs to heal. Jing is such a green flag. Well, I have a lot of personal and professional experience with childhood trauma and how to overcome and heal it, and I beg to differ.
Yes, I don't see XY overcoming her trauma at the end of the book. What's she going to do if Jing suddenly dies? I doubt she'll want to go on living.

Anyway. Rant over. Send nice gifs please.
The gifs are coming soon :D
