It's a shame, but better later than never. Even though he has said that he has never felt that he lost out on opportunities due to his height, I think he's being very gracious, imo it has unfairly disadvantaged him -- c-ent casts for height and looks and youthfulness in their leading men first, height especially is very important, being around 183cm is an industry standard...it didn't used to be like that but in recent years it has become the baseline standard for actors in idol dramas (especially for costume dramas the aesthetic is for a tall willowy look), and having a big height difference btwn man and woman is almost fetishized and very trendy in China in real life too.

It's sad if that's the case. He's better than most actors I've ever laid eyes on, not just Chinese but from all countries.

Silver linings... those Chinese girls tend to be very tall with their long legs and high heels, so they won't be too interested in the little dude LOLOLOL

But no, he deserves all the roles <3 <3

Oh, it's the same family. I thought they would leave right after the wedding but they're still here. They're not going to leave until Thursday 😩

I just got back from DC and shopping.

The car rides with the extended family are the worst. I can't escape from their probing questions from there. Why can't they talk about trivial things like the weather or what we're going to have for dinner. Why do they have to ask me really personal questions like if I I have a boyfriend or if I'm going to have kids in the future? How should I know? I'm not even going to think about having kids until I'm in my 30s.

It's awkward talking to them. I know they're blood related but I haven't seen them since I was 5 and I don't remember any memories that they remembered. They're practically strangers to me. God, I sound so cold but it's the truth 😭

Oh no, that's a bit of a bummer. Too invasive. Who cares about that in this day and age?

It doesn't sound cold, not to me anyway. Those family gatherings can get pretty awkward. Here we sort of also have this tradition of getting everyone together and the incessant prying into our lives but since some 5 years or so ago, I've become immune to those questions. My aunts sometimes are a problem, but I'm training them ahaha
