King of Baking: Kim Tak Goo
Bachelors Vegetable Store
These two follow a similar plot line, where you first have a few episodes in the start taking place a few years back from the main storyline. It's 6 eps in King of Baking, and 2 episodes in Bachelors Vegetable store.
In Baker King, Kim Tak Goo does whatever he can in order to achieve his rightful position as the top head of the famous bread company that his father runs. It's a long drama, but I can honestly say that not a single episode bored me. The acting is wtf-amazing, and I'm sure everyone who's watched it would agree. :)
In Bachelors Vegetable Store, Han Tae Yang is an aspiring worker, dedicated to fulfill his dream of running a vegetable store at the same time as searching for his long lost childhood friend. The drama is still running, but 10 eps are out so far. I would recommend it since it involves different social classes instead of limiting to just one. (Same goes for Baker King). It's an interesting watch.
For a more comedic genre I guess I could recommend Nodame Cantabile. Chiaki is an aspiring conductor and is willing to do anything to achieve his dream. However, he's being held back by his fear of overseas transportation and can't reach the classical music 'Mekka'. He is constantly being pushed forward by his neighbor and underclassman Noda Megumi (Nodame) who is a piano prodigy, and madly in love with him. Their characters are like night and day. While Chiaki is calm, concentrated, straight forward and knows what he wants, Nodame is ... well, all over the place. X) it's fantastic, so if you haven't watched it, go DO SO.
*cough*
I got carried away. Sowwy.
