Keep in mind that my list is compiled by word of mouth. What stresses one person doesn't phase another. I've watched some on my list, recommended by others, that I had to remove as fluffy, as they were personally problematic to me when I viewed them. I can watch people being slashed to death in a wuxia drama, and it won't bother me much (if I'm not invested in the characters), but if a conniving person lies to disrupt a romance between a beloved couple by despicable acts or lying, I can barely stand it! I avoid most melodramas for this reason.
With my list, anything rated 7.5 is watchable (by my standards). I generally start with that and add/subtract stars. If the OST is good, it's rewarded; if an actor is compelling, it's rewarded; and if it contains witty writing or something fresh, it's rewarded with stars. My Cuteness is About to Expire!? started out with a 7.5, and I would have rated it 7 or below for a crappy ending, but the actor was adorable and entertained me throughout the drama, so it ended up a 7.5 solely based on his cuteness factor. I may allot an extra half star for beautiful libraries, so my list is very subjective! I love smart people, too, so those always rate higher (I have a separate list for Intelligent Characters, and my ratings are higher there, generally, than for my Fluffy/Low Angst shows. Many fewer dramas, too. There's way more fluffy in Dramaland than intelligence!).
Hope you're feeling better.
