However, the actors who play those 19 year old MLs are usually at least 25 years old. I don't think older woman romances starring actors who are younger than 20 would have much viewership - ugh.

Overall, my impression of kdramas is that similar age actors are the most common, with the male actor often a year or two older than the female actor. Noona romances are a niche genre.

Not true, lot of these male actors are 20 years old or so, but you rarely see such young female actresses. If they watch 20 year olds they will watch younger too. Gets to show women are just as perverted as men as the main audience are older women.

Can you give me like a list, loved to check it out. Because right now I cannot think of even one noona romance where the woman is much older and the guy is in his early 20s. Maybe Cinderella at 2 AM, but even here ML is in mid not early 20s...

Noona epidemic is real and rampant. 

Calling it an epidemic while also naming 5 kdramas, some from over 10 years ago is honestly being overdramatic and emotional about an issue that does not exist. 

But here we go (adding / between the ages coz I'm not gonna check their b-days up to the month for it). And t be fair to your "stats" I also went with dramas not older than 2013 )that was the oldest you named) and age gap not smaller than 10 years (that was the smallest you gave), and FL not older than 24 at the time of filming and airing:

Edit: and these are only from the ones that actually have the "older man / young woman" tag in them, and not all dramas do since tags are added by users themselves. And these are not even all dramas from that tag, just the ones I knew and was sure there is proper age gap between actor and actress.

@Kate Interesting these romances except goblin and backstreet rookie don't get any hate, but the two I mentioned do. Why do you think that is? 

Goblin got because female lead was a high schooler as a character but mentally honestly acted more like a middle schooler, and ML was like 900 years old man. So it was borderline being in a relationship with a child. 

For the backstreet rookie I don't really know, personally I dropped it because it's based on the webtoon that had ml who is middle age man jerk off to a picture of underage at that time FL. So the source material was too gross for me to support the drama. But overall I think that drama for more hate from bad representation of black culture rather than the romance.
