Quantcast

I usually watch dark thrillers but occasionally I find myself wanting to watch romance. But romcoms aren't my thing with the occasional exception like spirit fingers (that one was nice).

I like the love story to have lots of angst and yearning and then a happy ending (a must).

Recent watc

Dramas that had this would be:

The first frost (cdrama)

Hidden love (cdrama)

Speed and love (cdrama)

Lovely runner (kdrama)

Spirit finger (the second couple) (kdrama)

Moving (kdrama)

Alchemy of souls (kdrama, more obvious in the second season)

MARS (Taiwanese)

That winter the wind blows (kdrama, probably the drama that started my obsession with the whole "yearning ML" trope

Secret (ji sung was excellent in this)

Kill me heal me(kdramas)

My liberation notes

Hotel de luna (the 2nd ML)

Scarlet heart (duh. Hate the ending though)

Island (kdrama)

Goblin (kdrama)

Marry my husband (watched both the Japanese and korean versions)

There's a lot more but these are all I can recall for now. Please do not recommend the smile has left your eyes as I dropped that one. Flower of evil I plan to watch. Forbidden flower is also a no. Happy endings are a must. I prefer the ML to be the one who does the yearning but is constantly controlling himself. Korean dramas are preferred but i don't mind Japanese, chinese or Taiwanese. Thai dramas are a no, not my kind of dramas. I dont like spicy dramas and prefer it that way.

Please dont recommend song joongki and kim soo hyun dramas as I dont particularly like their acting. I have seen its okay not to be okay and dropped vincenzo

Flourished Peony (but more so in the sequel In the Name of Blossom)

Shine on Me

Actually, I remember Thai movie Friend Zone suits your requirement. Maybe you want to try since it's only 2 hours watch.

No problem, everyone had different taste. I also forgot that the titles you mentioned were mostly melodramas and kept my focus on other points. 😅
